Has anyone used the 44250-04030-84 reman Toyota rack on their truck? I'll be replacing my power steering pressure lines in the spring and looking at worst case scenario having to replace the rack. List is $389.59, which is significantly lower than the new Toyota rack. These weren't an option when I was still working for Toyota.

I'm running larger tires so I'm looking for a bit of feedback, I don't want to do the job twice if the seals go due to the tires.

    Thanks in advance.

I was just in your shoes.

I decided to go with the OEM new unit. I paid $601 (including tax) with free shipping from San Diego Toyota.

It was worth the cost increase to know I was getting a brand new unit.

Edit: my local dealer gave me the run-around on parts - initially telling me that only reman racks were available and then later that they wouldn’t match prices after they “discovered” new racks were also available (after I told them).

Edit2: considering my OEM rack failed at 135k miles - there was no way I was going to go with a reman if the stock unit couldn’t even make it to 200k. If you don’t plan to keep your vehicle for more than 5 years I’d go reman.
