guess i missed the custom part of the post, i suck...it is really nice and something i looked for before i got the one i currently have....i spend $100's on dumbshit all the time...just not sure if spending that much for something that i can find for cheaper....whats the difference between yours and the ones being sold for less?...in hindsight pretty sure if i wouldn't have the one i have now, more than likely i probably would be on board with the one you have here..good luck man let us know if its something you make more of in the future and the final price point... never know might sell more than you think

Hey all, really do appreciate the feedback. Any chance you could post the website you found a similar knob on for $50? I must be terrible at google searches!

I love the idea. Would love to see what it looks like in a manual 3rd gen Tacoma

It may be an old pin maybe. I bought mine through hot rod shift knobs. The price has gone up over the years though, $55 being what I remember it costing the 1st time about 5 years ago, the last time I saw one for sale there it was $80. These are nice shift knobs though, I'd be interested since its for the MT, if it weren't for having 2 shift knobs just lying around right now.

Damn @apotter, if you ever rethink your decision I'll buy one immediately. That link everyone posted to Hotrod has been dead for a long time FYI, they discontinued that thing a while ago and don't really reply to inquiries the last year or so.

FWIW, I think $100 per shifter was a pretty fair price and people gave you too hard a time on here! Y'all are skinflints haha. Mostly DIY forum maybe wrong place for market research :)

Please let us know if you ever rethink it. Vintage Toyotas are more in style than ever, and only becoming more so!

Could one be made with the light gray, dark gray, and white heritage logo instead?

There has been some interest with these shift knobs recently - Prices of supplies have certainly gone up unfortunately. I'm planning to place a supplies order next week if there is more slightly more interest - Here are the new details:
*Only going to do one color for the ball - Black
    *Ball size is 2 1/4"
*Stripe colors will be the traditional Red/Orange/Yellow
*Thread size will be the M8 x 1.25 (for Automatic)
    *Price $150 + Shipping from 04103

For those interested please reply here or send me a PM again. Working two jobs at the moment so please understand if I 'm not as responsive as I would like to be.

It will certainly fit a '06 auto transmission. Have not tested it on a manual, though I bet someone on this website could confirm if the manual also uses the M12 x 1.25 thread pitch

*Correction - the M12 will not fit an 06 Auto. It will be a M8 x 1.25 which I can create as such. My apologies

For a little extra I can do some changes to the color of the stripes. Available at the moment:

I don’t know the threads for MT but @e6400ultra might? If not then for sure @tonered would.

I do know my 05 knob fits my ‘16 and vice versa.
