If my truck was a '92, I'd be cool with it too.

What vehicle doesnt have problems? There is no such thing as "perfect" you ever see the old Walgreens commercial? Its just whats fits YOU. If the dealer is takeing care of you, it should all be good right? Just be glad the issues that you are having a are not serious. Should I pull up the website that has all vehicle recalls listed? Its sad, really.. Toyota has ALOT less then all domestics. I understand your mad, but just cause your having some problems with that truck, does not mean every Toyota will have that problem.

The truck was a 92 that now has 500,000 miles on it. The roll bar however, was bought new and started to get surface rust on it.

I think the OP has legitimate complaints about the rust.

As for the features (heated mirrors, tailgate lock) that are "lacking" or the items that are subjective (poor radio sound quality), I'm really not going to pay attention to bitching in that area. You test drove it and inspected it before delivery. Did you not know the features you were receiving?

Thats why Toyota is replacing the bumper. In the mean time, he can polish it and get rid of the rust if it bothers him.;)

I agree on the bumper issue as well. My 2000 has an almost flawless bumper and its 10 years old, a brand new truck definitely should have barely if any rust on it this soon. The dealer should be willing to get you a new bumper or something for rust like that.

Maybe there's something wrong with the new bumpers, who knows. His has rust, mine is fine, so who knows. It was probably made here in the US just like the recalled pedal assemblies.
