:eek:That was an awesome stream crossing, looks like you are still at it with that truck. Did you modify all the breathers? If not, I’d change all the gear oil in those diffs, and the transfer case. May also be worth checking if the transfer case solenoid case flooded as well. And those rocks! How do you say Submarine and Rock Hopper in Japanese?

I like your camping setup, looks like you did well for your truck.

Hey, but that eclipse was worth it, wasn’t it? Hope your weather held up. We had to move around while in Texas the day before to get away from clouds but we were able to seeing finally.

I love it because I can show up, and be done. No tents to set up, etc.
Sure, there's an airbag light, but like...The seat's gone :p
    Weather tight with zero effort.
Adding the fridge into the cab takes up a lot of space, and fridge + dog is a non starter, so I will have to make the fridge work in the bed. Already have plans to run the 12V back to the bed, but just haven't gotten around to it.

    AB SO LUTELY.

I remember reading, where we were, about 6 months beforehand there was just the "statistical" way of predicitng weather and we were 80% chance of clouds, overcast, etc. We showed up to a fresh ~4 inches snow, it was cold, but we made it happen.

By Monday afternoon we were in tshirts and shorts, the sun was out, and we had sunburns.

Shizzy iphone picture, but we were in the path of totality

Not a cloud in the sky.

    I got a patch.....

    upload_2024-12-5_13-43-4.jpg

And in the same year I got to see the northern lights on Moosehead lake in Maine

    upload_2024-12-5_13-45-1.jpg

That was....2021? 2022? All diffs and such have been changed since then.
Again, looking back, I don't advise that water crossing....At least not the same way I did it...

Yes....SUUUUUURE I have a diff breather reroute :spy: I don't, it's one of those things I know I need to do but have just been putting it off, irresponsibly.

Next year is shaping up to be a pretty un-exciting year for travel and trips, so I think there's going to be a lot of buttoning-up things, and doing the diff breathers, etc.

Wow, you really lucked out for the weather! My 2017 eclipse - we bombed north overnight in my 3 week-old 2017 for it from So Cal to north of Boise- what a blast! My Texas photos were ok, but my 2017 Idaho ones were the best due to really clear skies:

We stayed at a Forest Service campground and everyone stopped by my setup for viewing- it was really cool how it brought people together.
