Since it has been a month Poot. What has been your experience. I am interested because I have only been at it about 5 days so far. Im unimpressed. BIG time. Toyota's stated vision for it is QUITE different than what the dealers Ive worked with are doing with it.

I used it for both my TRD Camry and TRD OR Tacoma. But then again the dealer I worked with has a "NEVER PAY OVER MSRP" slogan.

That goes without saying with pro models, when my bro contacted them for the new tundra pro a while back, there was a 2 year waitlist and the trd pro 4runner 3 YEAR WAIT LIST

unless you know the manager, you can cut in front of the line :(

It's restored using another '53 (he restored it back in the early 2000's). Original motor, transmission is a 5 speed out of a Camaro if I remember (the original transmission was terrible for driving). He doesn't drive it much so he's considering selling but the attachment value is probably higher than it's actual worth. Plus he sees BaT 50's 3100's bringing $20,000-$40,000 so his expectations may be out of line. I think an LS would make it an excellent driver, driving his truck is fine but I'm sure to some it is difficult.

I'm waiting about a year for a '25 model year TRD OR DCab longbed premium pkg. If that exists. At first it sounded like Smartpath was a good way to look nationwide, or at least regionally, for the best prices. Not so? Is there another way to search dealerships en masse to find the lowest price/package you want?

Second this, I use CarGurus because on certain vehicles you can search for a specific engine size (Ford's 7.3L V8 v 6.2).

i find toyota inventory to be the best way. you just have to change zip codes every now and then. there is a thread in the 3rd gen section that links to a google doc that was scraping data. not sure it is being updated or even works any more.

i've seen things on the car buying websites that are year old listings for not real rides

MSRP wouldn't even be a thing if manufacturers weren't in a battle with states for direct-to-customer sales.

This is a disgusting paragraph in this article.

They don’t want you ordering a vehicle from a website.

I’m against direct to consumer sales, I need to sit in it, feel it, then talk to a salesperson and enjoy the back and forth. It also saves me money. If I paid TSRP or whatever Toyota calls it I would be overpaying.

Exactly. They way it should be. Cut out the middle man. Everyone pays what the dealer would of bought it for plus a fee for delivery and prep.

What makes you believe Toyota would discount the vehicle if they bypass a dealer? Those greedy twats will just eat that money up.
