While having a few accessories installed today the dealership mechanic mentioned that Toyota is about to release a 6in lift option.

And I am sure it will be some overpriced junk that includes spacers or Hockey Pucks.

More like that Toyota dealership will offer a 6 inch lift option. Like the others.

Maybe, but I asked if he meant from the factory and his answer was yes.

A 6 inch lift will not be offered from the factory

One can never have too many light bars.
A 6 inch factory lift would be ridiculous and would require alot of re-engineering of parts to deal with the different angles. I think it will just be the dealer upgrade and they would probably have to foot the bill if there's any warranty claims for parts wearing out too fast.

By chance, did you ask him next if he is an idiot and get the same answer?

I'd be surprised if 5% of all Tacoma's on the road are lifted. Let alone 6 inches.

They axed the regular cab because it wasn't worth manufacturing for the niche crowd. You think a 6" lift from the factory will be a bigger seller?

Your just like me. I don't really like school but I'm going to college, I learned that anything engineering or designing is too much of a pain and struggle for a 4 year term. I rather work somewhere that keeps me moving not sitting on a desk and getting fat.

I think a factory 2in-8in lift option with factory tested components and correct angles would be a huge success.

I could see them offering a 2inch lift, not 6inch.
Besides I wouldn't want them to do it. The price will probably be ridiculous and not even good parts.

It's also been proven that service employees at a dealership don't work for Toyota. It's a one-two punch for the factory 6 inch lift....
we had a big argument about this last week.

    I lak you a lot

There's also no way a factory 6 inch lift could ever pass any government rollover testing and the gas mileage would be so bad stock that Toyota would have to deal with the EPA on its fleet mpg average.
