If he would start answer some questions when interviewed he might have. The problem is every one is saying he doesn't have a chance so they will not vote for him. Where as, if folks would truly think about the options and vote who they really think would be the best choice, then this is the year the 3rd party would win

A less than reliable source says the Baja plant produces Tacoma Double Cab trucks and all Tacoma truck beds.

Because the double cab long bed is on a unique wheelbase, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the double cab model produced there (instead of both/all double cab) while the short bed that shares a wheel base with the access cab COULD be (not necessarily is) produced in San Antonio.

Is there any info out there that says the Baja plant produces all or just a portion of the double cab units?

That shoots out the theory about ALL made in Baja, hope it doesn't turn out to be all DCSB. I'm set on DCSB 4x4 manual, even if I have to hold my nose through the process. I just trust a truck made by Texans more. It may be no rhyme or reason to which come from MX (besides DC) and which are TX made.

Since I'll be looking at 2nd gen, what's done is done. If DC of all types were produced at both, then there should be a difference in the VIN that would simplify searches.

I see no difference whatsoever. I sell these things and and whether it's Baja or San Antonio the quality is disconcernable. Now if we're talking about Volkswagens made in Hermosillo MX, that's quite a different story.

One plant could have better quality control, I don't know which.

The biggest reason would be wanting to support American workers when buying such an expensive product.

All manual transmission tacomas come out of the San Antonio plant.

The Texas Plant is more Automated so I believe the Quality would be a bit higher and more consistent from there.

The Access Cabs also come from San Antonio so maybe that's a good thing since I own one. Yes I do feel better about owning a truck built in the US vs Mexico but I've not seen or noticed a single quality issue that's come up that lead me to believe one is better than the other.

I wonder if there's a trend for those underfilled transmissions being more common from one factory.

I think I saw a Mexican made wrecked 2016 6-Speed OR on eBay once but I can't confirm that now.

It is possible for machines to not be calibrated right or just simply malfunction and it could be 50 trucks before they actually notice.
