They put wheel covers on their vehicles in the 21st century, owners lose them, and then they can’t afford to buy genuine Toyota replacements, and resort to putting El Cheapo Plastico eyesores on their cars!

The 1992-1996 Toyota Camry is still fairly common, but what you don't typically see is a Camry of any year with what appears to be a CB antenna on the back; This green Camry has dual airbags, and if I remember correctly 1994 was the first year for front passenger airbags, so that would this at least a 1994...

The 1999-2003 RX300 is the best RX in my opinion, at least in terms of styling; It's biggest shortcoming is it's stereo system. The RX300 came standard with an AM/FM cassette, and an optional 6-CD changer in the glovebox. A Mark Levinson sound system was also an option. The biggest problem was that it is virtually impossible to add an aftermarket head unit, which means that by default it is hard to add a backup camera. I found an OLD post (From like 2005-2006) on a Lexus forum, written by the owner of a 2001 RX300 who'd managed to fabricate a dash bezel and install a double-DIN head unit in his vehicle. He'd had to relocate the HVAC controls, too.

I will always photograph an E100 Corolla when I see one; Finding one that hasn't been beaten to shit is getting harder and harder these days, and wagons are damn near impossible to come by in any condition! Unfortunately, the windows on this one were so heavily tinted that I couldn't tell if it was an automatic or a 5-speed...

Normally I will not photograph a 2007-2011 Camry unless it is either a RARE 5-speed stick model, or it is unique in some way. However, I love the Camry SE because it is the highest trim level you can get and still get a third pedal. The XV40 (2007-2011 in the states) was the last generation of Camry you could get with a manual transmission in the United States...

This particular one has an automatic transmission, but I just like the way the Camry SE looks! Unlike the base LE and all models above the SE, the SE doesn't look boring...

This particular week was all about photographing as many pre-2006 Toyotas as I possibly could and showcasing them here. This one parked just steps away from the beige Corolla wagon and the grey 2007ish Camry SE, and a block from Lexus LX450 and RX300! I also photographed a Tundra and a 4Runner on this street this day!

I'm amazed there are not more of these still on the road, considering how reliable they are and how popular they were at one point. I believe this Tercel to be a 1992 or 1993 model; It had a 5-speed millennial anti-theft device and the stock AM/FM cassette. It's easy to get away with peering through the windows of, say, a Rolls-Royce or any JDM RHD vehicle, but a slightly beat-up early 90s Tercel is not exactly what most people would consider special. Getting too close to an "ordinary" vehicle can result in an overly suspicious owner and an unwanted confrontation. As such, I left my Nikon D5600 in the truck because it attracts too much attention, and I didn't get close to enough to see if this car had A/C...
