    Originally a thread called Yet another obscenely overpriced dealer find!...

    I found this 2005 Matrix at Thompson on Tuesday; The Matrix is a great car in my opinion, but almost ten grand for a 16-year old vehicle with almost 130K miles is most certainly not great, even in this market!

    I was thinking $5K; The dealer probably overpaid to get the previous owner into a newer and equally overpriced car, and now they're passing the cost onto the poor bastard who can't afford a newer car. Last December, a guy approached me in a Wawa parking lot and asked if I would sell my Tacoma; He about shit his pants when I told him it was worth about $12K, and I have a base model 5-lug RC!

    Now that you say $2K, I'd offer $2,500; You really only think it's worth $2K. My friend got an '09 Matrix AWD (with minor body damage and a clean title, and roughly "average" mileage) for $4,500 from a friend a few years back, didn't like it, and sold it for exactly what she paid for it when she inherited a 2013 Subaru Legacy with only 60K miles from a deceased relative in 2019 or 2020.
