Same car, now with blacked out 2nd Gen Prius wheels instead of Mercedes wheel covers (in addition to JDM hood mirrors, a single windshield wiper, and a spoiler); I will always have a serious soft spot for the 1987-1991 Toyota Camry, because my parents owned a 1990 model from 1990 through 1998 and it was probably one of the best cars we ever owned! My mom's Camry was a loaded LE V6 model, with every option you could get except leather seats and a CD player. My mom's car had 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and I believe they were standard on the LE V6, and optional on the DX V6; I believe that the rare All-Trac was the only 4-banger version available with ABS, with all other 4-banger models (this is a DX) having a non-ABS front disc/rear drum setup...

It seems like the majority of Corollas are beaten to shit, and the rest are customized; I was probably one of the only people at the show who walked past rows of custom vehicles to look at a bone stock Corolla! This is a 2001 CE model, about as a basic as they come. It has A/C, an automatic transmission, a stereo cassette, and no other options. The older couple who owns it bought it brand new, used it as a daily driver until 2016, and parked it until just this year when they decided to show it at the Carlisle Import Nationals. It was kept registered and insured, and driven sparingly to prevent deterioration, but it was largely kept off the road. They specifically sought out a base model with crank windows, and turned down a loaded LE model suggested by the salesperson. In typical base model Toyota fashion, this car did not originally have intermittent windshield wipers, but the owners installed it. The car has roughly 104K original miles, which is barely broken in for a Corolla, and the owners plan to put an antique tag on it next year!
