Toyota Stalking, er...um, SPOTTING with Charlie™ (Land Cruiser and Lexus LX/GX Edition)!

My Aspergers MegaThread, and I have a soft spot for some 1980s Chrysler nonsense, especially 1989-1990 minivans with the 2.5L turbo and 5-speed!

 

I'd imagine that the battery is dead, but it is in good shape; I sat in it a year ago, and it is very clean. I believe it's a 1989. It is fully loaded with A/C and power everything.

 

I quoted all of the interior shots from February 2022...

 

Looks like the interior is in fantastic shape. I am basically just daydreaming about owning one. But it's still fun to dream

The Ibishu Hopper, which looks like a Jeep Wrangler TJ from afar, but is very obviously a Toyota Land Cruiser. It combines styling cues from the FJ40, Land Cruiser Prado, and even the Daihatsu Rocky...

 

I went with a ZXT-6 manual, which is one of two models that clearly has Toyota-inspired wheels, and started by testing its top speed...

 

I passed 100 MPH fairly quickly...

 

It topped out at 108 MPH...

 

The ZXT-6 is one of a few models of the Hopper that have a locking rear differential, but it does not have a locking front diff...

It also has some hints of Suzuki Jimny/Samurai, but I think that Land Cruiser is primarily what they were going for, especially with those wheels...

 

The interior definitely looks more Toyota than Jeep...

 

Same rig with a 4-speed automatic tranny...

 

The Sport Special, which has the same engine and transmission as the ZXT-6, but doesn't have a locking rear differential...
