These kinds of accidents make me so angry. I PROMISE this isnt the first time the other driver was driving drunk, I promise it wont be his last. I also bet he lawyers up and gets some first time reduction, fines, no real inconvenience to him. I LOATHE people who get DWI charges and then get some slick lawyer to blame faulty FST's, calibration, police training and what not all to say their driver wasnt really that drunk. I hope for your sake that this guy spends the next 10 years of his life paying for this accident.

PS- Im a HEAVY drinker. Almost nightly. But Im not a hypocrite. Ive never driven a car with more than 2 beers in my system. Its non negotiable.

OP- Good luck. Best wishes to you that this all gets solved and you come out ahead.

Glad you and the GF are alright. I am a firm believer that DUI should have VERY harsh punishments.

Tires and wheels still look good lol

I will gladly walk away from any vehicle in a crash. Injury or death is my biggest fear. Hopefully your insurance treats you right (and you carried the coverage you needed).

Very glad the two of you walked away ok.

So what went down after the incident? I have to say if I was in a wreck like that with my spouse and I found out the guy was drunk, I might have ended the night with an assult charge.

    Wow...just wow!

As others have said, make sure you and your GF are not injured. Getting hit from the rear can really jack your
back and/or neck up, sometimes those injuries show up later...I know you are both sore as heck right now, but be aware
of concussions, headaches etc...from getting rolled over.

    Good Luck with it all.

Holy sweet Jeebus! She looks like she was drop-kicked for a couple of miles! Glad you're both relatively O.K. but DO get a full check-up by a doctor for hidden problems!

Holy shitballs, that must have been an intense ride

Glad you guys are okay. Really sorry about your rig. I know it's fresh but have you started thinking about what you may do for the next one? Gen 2.5? Just curious...

This is something that although I'm sorry to hear your insurance company is being stupid, is positive to hear. I have USAA.
Again, sorry about your shitty luck but all things considered, you're actually pretty lucky in the end.

Glad you are OK. As previously mentioned, both of you need to talk to a lawyer and go to a doctor before you take anything from the insurance company. It seems to be open and shut as far as the other driver's fault is concerned so the only issue will be $.
