Future upgrades such as onboard water may be in the future. This is only the second stage of her build :)
Upgrading alternator is not a requirement. Upgrading alternator will allow you to charge your batteries quicker when battery levels are low. This setup has ability to plug in a solar panel to charge up the batteries and there is also a charger port on side of bed. Simply plug extension cord into wall and plug the other end into charger port on outside of bed. The display panel will tell you what your levels are at as well as the interior charger gauge by the cup holders.

Do you have any pictures of the external port for charging? That sounds really interesting. I’m currently in the planning stages of a solar setup for camping, and love getting new ideas.

The simpleton in me has to ask..........
Why not just use a generator (computer safe) to recharge the stuff rather than all this extra stuff linked to your truck- out in the boonies? Will owner be able to diagnose an electrical issue down the road? I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable using all this stuff tied into the auto electrical. I mean it’s cool as hell but at what risk?

Nice build! Looking forward to seeing the finished project! If she plans to go with the Alucab kitchen cupboard the water port fits nice and snugly below. I am going to run this set up on my passenger side but took a pic of it sitting under the driver side cup board for reference...
Any way keep us posted on the build

There are many reasons for not using generators. Noise (restrictions and personal preference to be silent in outdoors), fire bans, and being able to charge on the go are just few of the reasons.

All of our multi battery systems are extremely safe and are built to handle back country exploration. Every battery and system is fused/wired into breakers and isolated from starting battery (so if anything auxiliary went wrong it will not affect your starting battery).

Thanks for the explanation. I’m a drag racing photographer & I usually shoot 8k or more images over 4 days & have enough batteries to hold me over the entire trip. Only time I need power is at night at hotel room for computer & internet for uploading & clearing off memory cards. I’m still curious what her workflow is & what equipment she’s bringing along that needs all this power. Your work is fantastic BTW.

That is a lot of batteries and memory cards sir!

Much of her work is on the go and remote locations so no access to hotel or outlet. This gives her flexibility to be off the grid and still power her stuff.

    Thanks for complement!

Wheels and tires will hopefully be in near future but at this time she is out enjoying her second stage of her build.

    nice!!

those ARB sliding boxes; if you slide the top out, what do you see in the box? the tops of the drawers? are the drawers full length? i'm thinking this would be an awesome addition to my truck since it basically only does hunting duty. i need to lock up my bows and guns.

and i think making it nondescript is the key. maybe put a PETA sticker on the outside. :)

When you slide the top out you have access to inside the drawers. The drawers are full length extension. The drawers feature sealed bearings and are very well built.

If you are referring to the (Canopy, Topper, Shell) it is the Alu Cab Explorer Canopy. Link here: https://adventure-ready.com/store/alu-cab-explorer-canopy/

If you have any questions ask away. All products we used for build have hyperlinks and should work when clicked on :)
