Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Nope.
They will be flat or have a negative arch.

500! really? Well i guess i need them but im not sure if I can swing $800 bucks right now for the leafs and the 5100s. If I where to get the 5 leaf pack that raises the back 1.5 inches would the rear 5100s still fit, or would I need some sort of spacer?

Yes, the 5100's support up to 3" of lift I believe. I have the same problem, I did not expect them to be so expensive!

Check into local shops that make leafs. It should be considerably cheaper. You could also get the re-arched.

A few years back, I was at the same point you're at, and I went straight to Alcan in Grand Junction, CO. They hooked me up with a stock replacement 5-leaf pack, the same as what Wheeler's sells- gave me 1.5" rear lift. Totally worth it! Better/stronger ride, better load capacity. They were around $350-400, that was 5 years ago and direct from their shop floor. Now (finally!!!) I'm going to level out the front end with bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils, with matching bilsteins for the rear. I'll try to post some before/after pics when the strut swap happens (as soon as the backordered bilsteins arrive at Wheeler's).

BTW, anyone have any inside info on bilstein catching up with orders?

You need a coil spring compressor, a few tools & a little mechanical apptitude, its a relatively easy but potentially deadly procedure if not done correctly (changing shocks ) If your changing the whole coil-over strut assembly, not so dangerous but you still need to support Truck w/stands under the frame & its best to have a floor jack under the lower control arm w/ a little pressure so the whole unit doesn't just drop & hang there when removing the coil.shock strut assembly, if your going to change shocks only then take note of the larger center nut I'm pointing at, loosen & back this nut off some but under NO CIRCUMSTANCE TAKE IT OFF UNTIL COIL SPRING IS SAFELY & CORRECTLY COMPRESSED !!! Failure to do this can be fatal !! That nut holds the preload of the coil-over assem. together & no, possible death is not an exaggeration, it is a fact & possible if careless. ( just common sense shit )........Good luck:cool::cool::D

I've been looking around for these for both the front and rear of my Tacoma. Anywhere online that has the best prices and free shipping?

Down south motorsports seems to have about the best price's on 5100's. $319 i think for full set. They are specifically valved for the tacoma also. By the way this thread is over three years old. Look up in the left corner of each post and it shows date and time.

OK I need some advice on this... I have purchased Bilstein 5100s for the front, and would like to set them at 2.5" (highest setting) -- stock coils. I would like to level it out to that in the rear. I have [new] stock yellow/blue heavy duty Bilsteins in the rear. Can I just put on and call it a day? Would the stock yellow/blue Billys suffice? Would I need to extend my brake lines in the rear with this 1.5" AAL?

    Thanks for your advice.

Hey Don , Im not sure about the longer break line but yes and no your stock billies will work . Yes you will be able to drive it but speed bumps or dirt roads or bad paved roeads you will hear the shock top out because it is to short . Im installing Bilstein 5100 s height adjustable shocks this weekend and adjusting the front 2.5 and I got 1 inch blocks for rear for now but will install add a 1.5 leaf later . The rear billies 5100 are a longer shaft witch will give your rear diff more travel without any clunks when hitting speed bumps or moderate bumps . I will try to keep you posted , should and hope to have the lift installed by tomorrow night , i will let you know about longer break line but other members will key in as they know a little more .

Thanks man - I just purchased 5100s for the rear, AND Wheelers 1.5" AALs as well. We'll see how things end up.
Did you have to extend your brake lines with the 1" blocks you said you were going to install? Was there room to play in the lines?

Wow did adding the 5100s in the rear raise up the rear?!! I didn't think shocks would do that. Could you post a direct side pic as it is with the 5100s in the rear w/no AALs?

Are you guys doing front differential drops with the front at 2.5? What about the middle setting? And how hard is it to DIY the install ?

I'm running a diff drop yes. The instal takes about half an hr to do. Really easy, just need a floor jack and some tools.
