For the bilsteins too? That's good. Shop quoted me 200 bucks just for the front

No sorry, I thought you were asking about the diff drop. As for the Billy's, if you don't have a spring compressor or don't feel like playing Russian rulet with one, I'd take your NEW Billy's and old shocks/springs to a shop and simply ask them to switch over shocks. Let them know which setting you want it at. I think I payed $50 to have mine switched over. Then just reinstall your new front setup in your truck. 4 bolts and the entire shock assembly comes out. Nothing to it

Do you need a lift to fit 265? My truck is stock and 265 fit just fine. And you can't use 5100 in the rear without a lift.

Sorry to get back to you so late , no I did not install longer break lines with the one inch blocks .If you go more then an inch like 1.5 lift then you should do longer break line if you are flexing allot . After installing the billies , what a difference on the smoothness of the ride after installing all four 5100s . I hit speed bumps hard and no problem and very smooth . Took this pic after I installed in the same spot as the pics on my profile b4 installed .

Yes you should do the dif drop if your going more then 1.5 inch lift and the install for the kit is really easy just two bolts , but make sure you use a floor jack to drop the engine an inch .

If I currently have 2.5" front top plate spacer, if I get the 5100 front adjusting shocks and add the top plate spacer, how much can I put the adjusting shocks at until it's maxed out?

Well the top groove on the 5100's would be "maxed out" & thats right at 2.5" of lift , are you talking about adding another 2.5" on top of that ??

If so I'll say right now thats not going to fly well for you, you'd be so far out of range for alignment, not even sure if you could jam that whole mess (strut assembly) into place..

I'm saying, would it be possible if I were to put the 2.5" top plate spacer on the adjustable shocks, and put it at 1" on the shock, would it cause any problems? In other words, with the top plate spacer on top of the 5100, what is the highest setting I can adjust the shocks to (0" of lift to max lift on shocks) without causing problems. Also, I forgot to add, I have the light racing upper control arms installed which give me a lot more room with angles cause of the amazing adjustability. Thanks!

You can't do that bud. You would have to change out your upper control arms once you get at or above 3 inches.

He does have after market uppers (LR's which are great) & they do add more geometrical diversity but pretty sure that 3" is going to be about it without going to spindles as well (didn't notice if prerunner or 4x)might even mix some aftermarket lowers as well, Not a 100% on this tho'...

Lift spindles for a prerunner ?? Depends.. The Max's are somewhere in the , ya know not sure but I'll take a stab & say around $600 maybe ?? Just guessing but for the higher end (not necessarily better) 4" spindles like Camburg's are going to push you right over $1000 for the set..

& that price is for 2nd gens but I don't think there would be much if any difference in price if available for 1st gens..

Oh alright. So do you think 1" on the adjustable shocks and 2.5" top plate spacer would work or no?

Well that puts you at 3.5" , technically out of range for proper alignment but the LR's are adjustable & you could probably eek out a 1/2" of adjustment to put it back in range if you play with it some, don't know how your ride quality will be tho'....

Hi guys, I just purchased 5100 for my 2004 Tacoma extra cab 4x4, can you run these on the rear without
1'' spacers. I know the instructions say 1'' spacer required due to the collapsing range of the shock, but
I kinda believe in leaving things stock if possible old fashion I guess.

It's recommended that you do at least a 1 inch block or spacer of some sort for the reason that they need room for down travel. If you only plan on driving on pavement and light dirt roads you'll be fine but if you do any slight flexing you will have a problem with down travel

Does adding the 1'' block cause any issues , I'm planning on 5100 up front set at 1'' clip ring
