The gas spring force at any time is simply the gas pressure times the area of the rod. The floating piston size doesn't factor in.

thanks for all responses everyone! my 3rd gen is on jack stands and the lower control arm is supported by a floor jack, that is why the cv boot is compressed. yes the easiest way to remove the coil over is to disconnect the UCA. The reason i dont have a locking pin and the bolt looks like its walked out is because i put the bolt back on to hold the wheel hub while i waited for the coilover to be repaired. once i have everything put back together i will check if its leaning still and send pick of everything.

Alright guys I have repaired the coil and have been riding on it for a bit to see if anything changes and it is still leaning heavily to drivers side! here are some pictures. It s not cause of taco lean or anything this is massive lean compared to when I first got it. Driver rear 6 inches from tire to fender. Passenger rear 7.5” driver front 4.5”. passenger front 6”. Any ideas?? If it’s the frames it’s the frame but I didn’t jump it so I doubt that would be the frame but who knows ‍♂️ Need to have somewhere to look

Did you ever check the rear leafs? Because the driverside is probably bent/flattened.

Wild ass shot in the dark, but have you put equal-height stands under the frame rails to see if a wheel droops lower?

Okie dokie. It sounds like we need to go back the beginning and fully understand where you at. Describe everything you did to the truck and post new pictures.

It would be good to know the distance between the bottom bolt and the top hat of your front shock on both sides. Maybe on the back too. That might allow us to rule out a problem with the suspension.

We also need to know the amount of preload on each front coil over

I have no idea how to determine if a frame is bent, but Based on your description a bent frame seems unlikely.

If you really think your frame is bent, I suggest taking it to a trusted shop.

Possibly. I wonder if the upper frame mount is tweaked. Again, wild-ass guess. I've never seen one that didn't twist the rest of the frame and show obvious body panel alignment. But if the control arms are good, the suspension is good, then what else could there be? :notsure:

I don’t think we can rule out a suspension problem based on what we’ve seen and told.
