No offense ever taken. I enjoy forum banter and it's rare that people are that passionate.

I should go start a religion thread.

    LOL, thanks man.

Happy Friday guys.. you all have great weekend. If I see that Raptor at the Ford dealer over the weekend, I'll try and get in there for a "beat" test drive and report back. They do have some killer financing deals going on, but I'd be more apt for the Mustang, or F250

Not a huge loss. He usually just kicks the ball into the neighbor's yard anyway.

x2 My Tacoma would be gone in a heartbeat if I could afford a Raptor. Rumor is there will be a 4 door version coming out sometime after the new 6.2L engine debuts. 6.2L is a $3k option, not a $10k option like someone above mentioned with the $48k sticker price.

yeah but toyota "playing it safe" kinda kept them afloat lol

but i have to say this is a pretty mean truck that i think would actually sell pretty well...and yeah im pretty sure the raptor would outperform a STOCK tacoma...

I have had two fords that have went over 200,000 and I sold one to my old college room mate and its still going strong nothing but average maintenance.

I think this new truck is sweet, not that I would trade my Tacoma for it but its very nice.

Your kidding, right? If you tow anything over 5k on a regular basis you have to be foolish to not own or at the very least, want to own a 3/4 ton truck. Sure the half ton can handle it granted not much more, but its people with your mentality toward towing that make the transmission repair market such a great one to be in.

FWIW I towed my 44 foot race trailer on a bi weekly basis with a F350 dually. The truck had the 7.3 power-stroke and a Firestone airbag setup (only overload springs in the rear). Sure it can be towed with a 3/4 ton but why the hell would you even want to. Thats exactly how you break axles.
