Here's one from the back. The bars are over the roof line, and the pedals should everything.

You could turn it a few degrees, but not a full ninety degrees, or the bike would fall over.

One note: this mount works better with my side rails caps, because they are steel.

Heavier bikes will cause the factory caps to dent in.

@KB Voodoo, are these still a thing? Went to the website to find them and got lost. I'm trying to figure out of I can fit a pair of them to each side with the FlipPac if I remove my pedals.

No, they are discontinued forever. We have better ways to carry bikes now.

Do extrapolate, have FlipPac full of gear and a trailer hanging off the hitch.

Your FlipPac pretty much negates everything we make.

    Insert sad face.jpg here.

Did you find any faults with using an outside the rail arrangement? I was thinking about grabbing a pair of use Rocky JetLines and sorting out some brackets for reverse mounting outside the shell. Removing pedals isn't a big deal to me.

Why not use your roof rack? Get a nice piece of flat metal that would mount to the first bar in your rack to extend forward enough for the rear tire to rest on the rear point of the rack to secure it and place a fork mount on the extension out front? Could be ran on each side of the light bar in the gap. Would be out of the way and out out of vision too.

If the front fairing of your rack is strong enough you could just mount some fork mounts there and secure the wheel up on the rack

That's a good idea. Could chain them to a truck wheel at night when we use the FlipPac.

Did a little research and it looks like I couldn't drive in California, and most likely many other states with an outside the bedrail arrangement.

    http://www.dot.ca.gov/trafficops/trucks/width.html

I knew about the maximum width laws from hauling farm equipment on trailers but wasn't familiar with the passenger vehicle extension regulations. Check your local laws for restrictions that may be in place there as well.

@KB Voodoo I just sent you guys a message regarding the Hi Rise bed bars via the form on your site. Seeing this raises another question. If my rtt is mounted on the bars I should have enough room to also mount my bike, so what bike mount is compatible with the hi rise bars? I see the rear tire tray but don't see a fork mount of any kind.

I get excited everytime I see a thread mentioning these, and then feel sadness when they are still discontinued.
