my truck is lifted with 285's and I am doing better than the website forecasts. I have averaged no lower than 19.5 and usually 20.5. Note I am 80 percent highway driving.

Installed Cooper At/3's (265/70R16) and ProComp 7089 Rims. Tinted front windows. Did the Fog Light Anytime mod. Did the tailgate mod. Added running boards. Adding sound Deadening from RAAMaudio. Replacing stock speakers with Polk Audio DB6501's.
2015 Access Cab, 6cyl, 4x4, SR5, Cooper AT3 (265/R70/16), Procomp Rims, sound deadening, running boards. Last 3 tanks average 19.1

Mixed driving 70% local, 30% interstate. 50-50 level and hills (very hilly here).

    2450 on the OD.

When I do the next fill-up, I'm taking it to the local gravel yard and getting a true weight.

My 08 seems to average 18.9-19.1 doing everyday driving but strangely it gets lower on the highway.

Maybe my plastidip badges are weighing me down.

I have 300 miles on the new truck and got 21 mpg on the first fill up. I was feeling pretty good about that until I just checked the tire pressure only to see the dealer had them cranked up to 46 psi. I am sure it will drop now that I set them correctly but then again the engine is not even broke in yet.

Im banking 21-22 mpg with a 3" lift, 32" tires, after market rims but I'm all highway. running 36 psi, alignment is good, synthetic oils, clean air filter.
also the truck has a learning ECM and adjust fuel input based on how you drive. if i drive heavy i get 17mpg, but i can drive to the beach, 140 miles. Drive on the beach 4 miles down 4 back plus some play time in-between, and drive 140 miles back on a full tank. IF i drive 65mph there and back. 75 i have to fill up before I'm half way back home.

Ok, you guys think you've got it bad... I have a 4 door 4wd 2009 tacoma with 2.5" lift and B F Goodrich AT tires and I'm getting 13.5!! A friend of mine has the same truck but a 2006 with very similar tires and has always got 18. I've had it checked out, O2 sensors and everything we could think of but no difference.
I love this truck but I'm starting to think there's something wrong. Any ideas??

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
After a fresh oil change and new air filter, I got into the high 20's on the highway yesterday with 27mpg being my best and 21mpg being the average. 3.4 V6, completely stock bumper to bumper for now. I love this truck, gets the same mileage my 4 cylinder did and has more power!

I had the same setup with my 2011, 90k miles I got 18 stock. Between 14-16 afterwards, average of 15. Depending on miles id say to try this

New spark plugs, new filter, clean maf sensor, change oil and oil filter, fuel filter, and run Lucas through a tank of the highest grade you can. Than next tank run your regular fuel, see if that helps

    87 Octane = 17.9
    89 Octane = 17.9
    91 Octane = 17.9
I'm starting to see a trend here. Haha. Mostly highway driving. Some can be stop and go in my morning commute.

I've had my 2013 for about two months. 265 75s on stock 16" wheels. It is a V6 Prerunner TRD Double Cab. I've calculated gas mileage on every fill up. Without adjusting for the slightly taller tire, I have consistently achieved an avg of 19.5 MPG. So I guess you could call it 20 considering my tripometer registers slightly less than actual miles driven (right?).

V6 AC, 3" lift, 33" tires, steel wheels, 150 lb steel front bumper. 200 miles in town driving per week (40 mph average), 280 highway miles per week (70-72 mph average).

16.5-17 mpg consistently. It is what it is.

The trip odometer is showing ~4 miles less per 100 actual traveled with the 265/75-16 tires. So if you add gas at 250 miles on your trip odometer, add 10 miles (ie. enter 260 on your calculator) before you divide it by the gallons to fill.

With a few exceptions of you guys who claim to get over 18 in the city or over 22 highway, most of us 4x4 V-6 automatics are on the same page. I do hold the California gas blend responsible for at least a half mpg drop, if not more. My 1" taller than stock tires also drop the reading another 1/2 mpg, so it looks that much worse than it really is...
13.5-14.5 city, 17.5-19.5 highway this past year. Add 1 mpg for the tires and if gas bought outside California!
2010 Double Cab 4WD V-6 Automatic, 78,000 miles on odo.
