2010 access cab trd offroad, 4l v6 with 265-75-16. Best I ever got was the day I bought it. Cruise control set at 70mph, 99.9% highway- 21mpg's, worst I got was in January, between winter warmups & minuscule amount of driving in 4wheel drive on snow covered roads 12.94mpg's. on the average with 80% city driving I get between 17.5 & 18.5 mpg's pretty consistently.

last 3-4 tanks got 19mpg, most of my driving is highway about 80% (50-55mph posted speed) very rarely go above 65mph.

Ruffus - is your current average mpg reflecting the 265-75-16 tires effect on your odometer?

Yes, all calculations include 3% adjustment for tire height difference, & all mpg results are with the 265-75-16's. I bought the truck used & it came with new 265-75-16"s.

    2010 4x4 2.7L 5 speed here.

I've been averaging almost exactly 20 mpg every tank. I was hoping for a boost in fuel economy of an mpg or two after I installed my shell, but I haven't seen any improvements just yet.

I have a 2016 Limited 4X4 with about 22K miles. I get within 1 MPG of 22 MPG on every tank and it doesn't matter if I am in town or on the highway. When on the highway I always used the cruise set to 65mph. On two trips recently, I travelled about 40 miles at 65mph without the cruise and one ended with 26mpg and one almost 29mpg! I notice that if traveling at 65 on level highway and I engage the cruise I can hear a slight sound but there is no change in the rpms. What is going on?

I was getting around 20mpgs but an erratic o2 sensor would sometimes get me 17-18mpg's. This is my first full fuel tank with a brand new o2 sensor and I calculated 40.1 MPG's.! I'm like wtf is this real life? So I came on here to research fuel mileages and it looks like I either miscounted the miles or the ECU is re-learning stuff. I didn't notice any loss in power or anything. Weird.

Just did a long 5.5 hour drive each way on highway going up north. Cruise set to 70 mph almost all the way up I got 19.2 mpg's, on the way home it's usually better mpg's ( more downhill), 21.3 mpg's
pretty sure I could have gotten 22+ if it wasn't for 2 hours of heavy Toronto to almost home bumper to bumper traffic going 70-30-60-0-70 etc. Since my last mpg post I've added a tonneu, snorkel, & sliders.

Just a plain-Jane 2007 V4 Regular Cab. My daily routine is sort of 50-50 back dirt roads (it's where I live) and 55 mph highway. That gets me about 22 mpg. On longer trips on the Interstate, I usually get 24-24.5 (I don't drive real fast, mostly 65 mph +- ). This is based on long term careful record keeping. I'm a bit surprised that the differential isn't greater.
