    I'm getting 17.5 in my 4.0L 2015 DCSB. I'm going to try some non-ethanol just for S&Gs.

    17.48mpg.
Been collecting data since first fill up. Low mpgs are due to towing.

Just bought a new to me 2009 prerunner and ran a first tank. Epa mpg 20, 26 city highway for it and base model being the expected bs and not finding anyone elses real guess on a prerunner epa mpg, I just a half tank and hand calculated a 27.24 mpg, 303.5 miles on 11.14 gallons. I am a bit of a hypermiler so based on percentage off epa I get for my previous vehicle, and vehicles i drove for a dealership for deliveries to customers which run 1.3x winter to 1.5x summer, I would say a real epa on the 4 banger manual transmission prerunner is around 18 city 22 highway

I’ve been consistently getting 18mpg on my 90% highway commute. Mainly flat with a small 200 foot hill.
If I do 50% highway and 50% normal city driving I get closer to 15mpg.

Stock 2012 DCLB, 4.0V6, AT - recent trip from Illinois to Florida, one tank got 21 mpg, others were 19.5 - 20. Return trip pulling a 5'x8' Uhaul trailer full of furniture averaged 14.7 mpg.

    Normal 60/40 around town/highway is usually 18.5 - 19.

I get chit gas mileage, 15 mpg 99% around town, but I didn't buy an econo-box, so I'm not surprised or disappointed.

I have a 2007 regular cab 4wd with a 2.7 manual, no options very basic truck and i average 20mpg, im trading for a 2012 trd with the 4.0, im sick and tires of the lack of power of the 2.7 on highway or uphills it just really sucks for that extra 2mpg...i want more power and better comfort and for about 2mpg difference the v6 has more then 100hp

In case any of you did not see my thread about it, I hit 28 mpg in my Prerunner on a trip.

It was difficult but it was also not a perfect experiment, so theoretically I think 30 is possible but I'm pretty sure that's the absolute maximum

I have never gotten better than 18 mpg when my TRD sport 4x4 4.0 was stock. My truck with the lift and 265-70-17 tires gets 16 mpg at best an that is not going over 65 mph. If I drive 75 mph or more (most of the time can't keep my foot out of it) I can watch the gas gauge drop and I average about 14.5 mpg. As I said before I didn't expect much for gas mileage being a 4x4 but you get what you get. My F-350 diesel gets better mileage pulling a trailer than my Tacoma. If you get 20 mpg than you are doing great and I wouldn't complain. Those of you that get 24 or better are probably backing up traffic doing just below the speed limit trying to save some gas. My point is you bought a truck that is not a economy vehicle so just drive it and don't worry about the gas mileage because these truck suck in that department and have fun with it. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone with the slow driving comment .

Pretty standard I get about 18mpg. Urban commute. Freeway without traffic to work, stop and go grid lock on the way home. ~10miles each way.

Road trips I can get around 20mpg if I try to. That’s cruising at about 70 for the entire tank.

No offense taken, when I'm cruising at 55 mph all complaints are redirected to the state for not building roads with enough lanes. There is NO reason that interstates now days should have less than 10-15 lanes, it's a total joke.
A 4 lane interstate in 2018? Pathetic.
I move around for big rigs but other than that no shits are given. I'm not going to waste my gas for someone who doesn't plan well or who wants to do 80 mph, not my problem. Go around.
    :bananadance:

But honestly I do not go out of my way, I just drive casually. We all drive fast younger and as we grow up we slow down because you realize it barely makes a difference.

Average over the last 3 months has been 19.2 mpg. Last few tanks have come down to upper 17's lower 18's. Cold weather is here though.

Yes, the colder weather impacts mileage here, too (New Hampshire). We now have a foot of snow on the ground after today's 8", so it's 4WD for me until I get on the highway. That and reformulated winter gasoline definitely makes a difference. I get a very steady 24.5 mpg all summer long, but that will drop to 21 or so for the winter (2.7 L 4-cyl, obviously).

2009 PreRunner. 4.0L and auto transmission. Bone stock. Drove on the interstate, 75 mph for 466 miles, yesterday back home and only got 17.5 mpg. Around the city, I only get 15 mpg. Is this normal or should I have something looked at?

It’s within the ballpark of what I’ve been getting with my near stock 4wd when I commute back and forth to work. And I’m normally going 72-75 mph on the freeway.

It's very hilly where l live, so I usually get around 15 or 16 mpg. If I go on a long highway run where it's much more flat. I
l have gotten just under 23 mpg. But that was at a pretty steady 90kmh (56mph) . The highest speed limit on 2 lane highways here is 80kmh (50mph). Freeways at 90kmh - 100kmh. (56mph -62mph).
