I wasn't actually thinking about the properties of gases at all, just remembering back to a middle school science lesson where we observed the lights of different elements in a glass tube. Been a long time since chemistry.
F-150 definitely competes with the Tacoma. They're a different pick-up class, sure, but if you're one of the hundreds of thousands of pick up sales that likes the convenience of a bed more than concerned with payload or towing capacity, I'd wager there's a pretty good chance you're considering either the F-150 or the Tacoma. And odds are two of the biggest deciding factors are 1, fuel economy and 2, will it fit in my garage? Well, the answer to one dramatically favors the F-150 now.

Noble gasses aside, I'd love to see hydrogen cells take off.

Right! I was reading Jack London’s The Assassination Bureau , Ltd. the other night and stopped when the characters observe an electric taxi in 1909 NYC. I knew my feelings in that passage. “Tesla is stupid! Screw Elon Musk and all the terrain he occupies in my mind space! This ain’t the future!” I yelled to my cats.

So they are both shaped like SUVs... who'd have thought?!

It isn't the answer to all problems, but it is a huge step in the right direction. I love the feel and sounds of ICE and especially rowing my gears in an MT, but I know the days are numbered for them and EV is the future, and I'm OK with that. I'd like my kids to have a habitable Earth in the future. It is one of MANY things that will need to change to make that happen.

You know, it’s been about 10 years since the Baja series came out…could it be a new version of that? Maybe slap some heritage Toyota racing stripes on it while they’re at it…

On the Land Cruiser they just used this older LC font and the Bronze wheels to show it's a heritage edition on the exterior and interior color for the Heritage Edition...A heritage Tacoma might do similar or some stickers. Be neat to have a different scheme

Just noticed the Land Cruiser Heritage Edition also came with shitty Dunlop AT20 highway tires.

Tires don't matter on this truck. It will out wheel a Tacoma with better tires

Do not, most companies jazz up the current model to keep interest and empty lots of old stock before releasing new ?

So that color wasn't as retina searing as I thought it would be.

The bedside TRD Pro stamping is actually a downgrade in my opinion, though. Looks like an afterthought that was crammed on there.

The UCA is a nice looking piece though. I can see this becoming very, very popular.

And the Trail Edition takes a huge step up. The Limited grille was always a mistake in my opinion.

Seems like it has the factory lift kit available as standard now, gets the TRD OR Locker and Skid plates and loses the air dam. No mention of other electronic aides like crawl control or A-TRAC.

I like the embossed bedside because that also got rid of the Pro door badge.

I could live with out the moon roof, and double cab configuration. I still want to see a SR Pro AC.

They really need to drop the old Pro halogen headlights in the trail edition.

Probably just that new OEM lift comes as standard on the Trail Edition now. Cool though that they are actually making it a real upgrade rather than just some plastic boxes in the back.

On a side note, is the Pro lift just blocks/spacers in the back too? Or do they actually give you a better leaf pack on those?

They should really just make the LEDs standard across the line at this point. And not just for headlights, but all around. I know they aren't going to do an entire redesign of anything at this point with TNGA only a few years off, but that seems like an easy swap-out and mid-cycle refresh they could do, like they did with TSS.

Don’t these idiots know the light at goes above the windshield, and all those LED lights should be amber? Sheesh.

Yes, that would be ideal but it seems like Toyota is pretty slow to upgrade Tacomas since they still sell without those upgrades. I know a lot of people say drum brakes are great but I really think that the 3rd gens should've come with discs all around.

Why I am hoping they put the old Pros in is that there’s really no difference except the looks so it doesn't cost them anything more. We can get better looks and they can still upcharge for LEDs if they want.
