Toyota teases new Tacoma info!

Reminds me of sitting in the back of a station wagon.

 

Toyota sticks some new wheels on the mechanically outdated Tacoma and holds a press conference while Ford releases info on the F-150 lightning. Toyota (and Nissan) are badly outdated and soon to be totally fucked in the pickup market.

 

I do too until someone makes another post about their paint departing their vehicle lol

 

Ah, Toyota is gonna add jump seats like the Subaru Brat! That is gonna be sweet.

 

Yeah but you have to consider the cost difference and the fact that Tacoma will outlast the competitors.

 

Well, Toyota will have an EV Truck soon they say. Just because it isn't now doesn't mean they are totally F'ed. Toyota like to over engineer and heavy R and D. Ford is to be congratulated on their entry. Toyota has the most EV cars on the planet so their truck will no doubt go through the same r and d the cars went through. Also they will most likely have Solid state batteries unlike Ford and RIVIAN and Tesla, first in the market.

 

The sidewall pattern is shaped like the logo, without the wing though, just the shoe.

 

There's someone that has a wrapped 4Runner almost that exact color that I've seen a few times. It looks better than you'd think, but is def a polarizing color.

 

All this hubbub surrounding EV, everyone forget that the technology has been around since the turn of the 20th century - its not the futuristic "answer to all our problems" solution that everyone seems to make it out to be now-a-days

 

Well no one ever said EV's were the answer to all our problems.

 

Nice to see their finally dumping those Highway "Kevlar" tires. Not something that should be on an Off Road vehicle.

These are the same highway "Kevlar" tires with prettier tread pattern on the sidewall.

 

F-150 doesn't compete with the Tacoma. It's in the same class as the Tundra, which did have a teaser released last week:

 

Yeah sure, the part of the tire that touches the road is exactly the same, but who cares? It's now got pretty sidewalls!

 

Needs more lights.
