Toyota tech said my tran fluid is fine at 102,000 miles

Too bad a couple regular members gave you attitude for resurrecting this thread. I felt bad for you until you pulled the mom and sister garbage, now you’re just being an ass...go away.

 

Sadly, I’m in the camp of having my local dealer telling me not to touch the tranny fluid and I’m at 125k. I’m going to schedule an appointment this coming week and tell them to do a drain and fill.

 

So... if I disconnected the two lines from the tranny cooler and put the intake in a bucket of new fluid and the output line in an empty bucket then started the engine would it fully replace all the fluid in the Tranny?

 

See the instructions posted by Crom a few years ago. I had my fluid changed this way on my 2010 when it had about 90,000 miles. It shifted smoother right away. Truck now has about 123,000 miles and all is well.
