    Seems like changing out floor mats would be cheaper than replacing a gas pedal...material, labor can't be cheap.

    new floor mats cost what $50-$80...and a dealer would get a better deal buying in bulk.

    Toyota is not touching my gas pedal. There is nothing wrong with it. It works perfect and the floor mat is no where near the damn thing. Sorry for the :mad: rant.

    My only concern regarding this is the plastic floor clips seems a bit flimsy, they could break and let the mats wonder forward.

    5100 set to max, pending LSD and TRD CAI
    Toyota would be the one paying for the replacement mats and I would be very surprise if it cost Toyota more then $3-$5 to manufacture the mats.

    Gee, it wasn't the floor mats. Surprise, surprise, surprise ! I took mine out when I put the Weatertec's in but they had never gotten close to making the truck go 120 mph.

    I'm not 100& sure what you're talking about here, but would say that the brakes are going to fail pretty quickly (due to overheating) after trying to stop the truck at full throttle.

    If the pedal gets stuck in the depressed condition it would be a shocker, and I don't think anyone is at fault for not working out what to do. It's easy to work out what to do (put it in neutral etc) when you're relaxed in front of your computer, but when you're doing 100+ down the road? Not so.

    It's happened to me twice, and both times I was on the freeway.
    I kind of paniced at first because I let off the gas and it didn't slow down lol. I pressed the breaks off and on and I looked down and noticed it was stuck on the floormat. So I just moved the floormat back.

    Some times I think about using this method as a cruise control...
