Also as a reminder: #9 Toyota Legend Ironman Tribute Trail does have two major water crossings at the end in Afton Canyon it has been known to take a couple Well make that a few rigs out in the aftermath of getting home. Just fyi you've been warned for those of you who dont have common sense. Ive ran it numerous ..numerous times with no issue ever. Just So you know.

And flood a Range Rover in the middle of it stalling him out, but fired it right back up and got across but had to pour out his air filter box and remove the air filter completely afterwards..haha and also that was the last time we would ever see him. Rig may have died shortly after.

And just to add so nobody gets detoured from choosing this route ...the whole group must have went back and forth across this thing 5 times each cause they were having a blast at it...so you look at the picks and x5 back and forth back and forth etc etc thats a lot of water and muck stirred up...so when you get home please do yourself a favor blast your engine off (common sense part) and dont let the shit dry up in there. And if your just crossing once like (most people) you wont have any issues.

Damn you for posting this! I'm back in Norcal and 4R is in the garage next to my other restoration project that takes all my money. They are having a faceoff of who gets more of my time and money. But...the weather is supposed to be upwards of 110 till next Wednesday and my garage has no power or AC. Soooo, I'm continuing my vaca and flying to CO tomorrow to drink and bike and do whatever till Wed night. When I get back I'll dive into it since it'll be cooler Thurs on. If it's something minor and she fires up and runs where I feel comfortable MAYBE, MAYBE I can make it. SUCKED having to drive past the end of Mojave Trail I did last year and by Calico where this meet up is.

Word of advice guys...every morning on those multi day trips, check your engine bay. At rest stops when it's hot out, do the same. Maybe that would have saved me. Maybe not. Who knows. Luckily where I blew up on Extraterrestrial Highway (no joke) in Area 51 had cell reception.

 

Just an update before the weekend, I've been working hard with vendors to secure more goodies for the raffle. So far we have a huge stash of goodies. Everything from tow ropes to a set of tires! If you are a vendor and want to be apart of this please contact me ASAP!

Cool. She gets a lot of that from me already she has thick skin about that she just likes wheeling whenever she gets the chance to. Been trying to convert her but there is no doubt that the 2 door jk's are very capable rigs.
