Looks like that is what they did. I just went out to look at it, and can see a washer on each side (under the side mounting bolts), and the bottom of the sensor is not flush with the mounting surface. Looks like it is pointed down slightly from what the original position must have been.

Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words.

I did buy the kit from them. Not sure if most dealers do this, but if you walk in, and buy the kit from the guy over the counter, they will charge you full retail. You have to place the order through the online store in order to get the discount. I have found their prices to be very competitive with some of the cheapest online retailers/dealers. They are also willing to price match, if need be.

Also, not sure that this would have made a difference, but I bought the kit a month before, and called to get an estimate on the install, and they told me 4-5 hours (as the kit suggests) @ either $100, or $110 per hour, so I went with them. I also asked them to re-aim my headlights, which is not part of the install, but they did it anyway.

Link to to the kit on their page: https://parts.toyotaofnashua.com/oem-parts/toyota-suspension-lift-kit-pt84k35221

Perfect, thanks man. My appointment is Tuesday so I'll call Monday and see if they'll honor it. That's a pretty big difference in price.

    Appreciate it!

Can anyone confirm that dealerships will or will not install this lift on DCLB? Thanks.

Cal the dealer out on that price. Mine did the same thing and I talked to the service manager and asked what they charge for labor he asked why and I explained that I could do that lift in a couple hours in my driveway then get it alligned and install the grill and that any more than 4 hrs is nuts. He reviewed it and it was 2230 out the door which included installing my rim tire set up.

And yes ask them to leave the fogs most will.

As far as using the old grille then your sensor may not be correct as the new grill realigns/aims in to correct the lift.unless that part can be seapped fron the provided grille.

When I got mine installed, it cost me $2200 OTD. I also got to keep my fogs because I asked him to, which initially he argued with me but ultimately gave in and left them alone.

Here is a before and after pic of my Tacoma. One is TRD lift kit on stock wheels/tires, and other is with TRD lift kit on TRD Pro Sema wheels wrapped in 275/70/17 Falken WP AT3W's

That's my closest dealer as well and what a rip. I'd rather by a Fox setup and install it myself along with the ecgs and forgo the warranty. Shocks, lift block, grill and alignment of this type should be like $2k really.

I bought the TRD Pro grill from Empyre with garnish & gray lettering for $181 shipped; have yet to install it.

Reading thru many posts/pages regarding the TSS compatibility…most have said they had no issues…w/o calibration.

It will be interesting when I bring my Sport to dealership after I install the new grill…figuring when they test the TSS, they may have questions. We’ll see.

The whole issue with TSS calibration thing is overblown IMO. I told my dealer this once and they agreed but said it all comes down to liability these days, if an accident happens. I had 32" tires on the truck and they disabled the radar after performing the radar leak TSB, stating it was due to my tire size. I told him they literally make the truck 1/2" higher than stock, which is absolutely irrelevant as I could take a stock truck, put 1,000 lbs in the back and it'd probably sag the rear end 2-3" and yet, that would not "create an issue" with the TSS. Again, it's BS and all about liability, not how well the TSS will operate.

If there are no errors after install (the feedback I've seen from YouTube installs), that tells me the TSS works as intended since the range in calibration is within limits...but don't take that as gospel.

I called service this morning, and they said that they could price match the website, but I had to call back when the parts guy was in. Waited until 9 for the parts guy, who said they can't price match their own website (wtf) - and that I have to order it online.

I guess what they have in their system is a package deal that's just "install lift, $2600". So I ordered the lift online and reached out to service. They just called back and said that I'm good to go for ~$1700 or so. So it was a silly process from Toyota, but awesome customer service from the service dept at Toyota of Nashua.

You just saved me almost a grand dude, I 100% owe you a beer!

2 degree tapered shim installed and Vibes completely gone. I spent 30 minutes or so on cruise control at different speeds between 35-55 mph to try and re replicate the slight vibe I had and can’t.

So my vibes fix in total after the 2” front lift (TRD shocks set on top clip) and 1.5” rear (icon AAL) was the ECGS bushing, OME carrier bearing drop and a 2 degree tapered shim pointing forward under the leaf pack.

Good luck to you as well in figuring this out!

Glad yours is fixed! Did you install that ECGS bushing yourself or if not, how much did it cost to have it done?

thanks! I did it myself. Can’t imagine someone would charge more than 2 hours of labor.

I put TRD Pro wheels with 265/70/17 BFG KO2s on my 2021 Sport and they rub when I turn and go into a driveway or incline. Will an OEM lift kit fix the rubbing?
