That’s just a filler piece they use to go into the bracket where a camera would go if you had one. You are correct about the TSS stuff being below.

If that’s a filler piece I could replace that with a real camera then? Correct? I’ve been looking at a few of the upgrade “kits” and they all come with a front camera. Sounds like stupid questions but I’m still new.

Has anyone did a 2” lift coil with just the shocks?

I'm picking up a TRD OR in a couple weeks and have been looking into this kit. I've been reading through the posts, but haven't really found the answer. Will this raise the OR 2" in the front and 1" in the back, or less since it is already raised a bit.

2" at top setting, 1.5" at mid setting, 1" at bottom for the front and yes, 1" in the back with the spacer provided. Some members have left out the spacer and gone with an AAL instead for 1.5" - 2" in the back.

Curious if any of you have upgraded your UCAs with the factory lift kit? I went down and talked to the guys at 4Wheel Parts last week and they didn’t recommend the UCAs unless you’ve got more than a 3” lift.

Curious what the TW consensus is… if I can run stock UCAs for a while and save some money, that’d be sweet, but I don’t want to jack up the suspension if stock will cause trouble. I’m only doing very light off roading at the moment, mostly pavement driving.

It's doable but the consensus seems to be that you don't need UCA's with 2" or less of lift.

love it. Just curious - why 265/70/17 instead of 275/70/17? About to upgrade to one of the two on some TRD 17 4Runner sema wheels. Seems like I see more folks rolling 265/70 and am just curious if there is a reason or if it’s just personal preference?

275s are a heavy tire. And they rub on stock tacomas. So the most common size tire for fuel economy, weight, ply and fitment is probably 265

Many folks here opt for the 265 or 285 before going 275. Weight being a big factor as well as selection. There just isn't a great selection of 275's and most of them are only available in an E load range, like the KO2's for example.

How many of you are running 255/80/17s with this lift kit?
These will be on a 0 offset rim.

275/70/17 would be my other choice I'm looking at.

Getting things together for my new Tacoma I have on order.

Sorry for the late response; just back from Spring Turkey hunt.

My 2019 first had 275's and then 285's. They just didn't work for me. I typically use my Taco for hunting in some pretty remote areas. (Why I don't drive Jeeps anymore; they just break down ALL THE TIME! I've been through 3, the most recent a 2017 Rubicon.)

The wider tire limited some of the tight areas I needed to get too. My objective with this truck was to make it functional for what I do. If I want big I drive my V-10, F250 Super Duty w/ it's 4" lift, etc.... However, it's not fun when you get 10 mi/gal, regardless if I'm pulling a gooseneck trailer full of hay or driving down the road empty; FJB has our gas prices out the roof.

Has anyone tried to run a heavier duty coil on these struts?

Im late to the question. But those are rebranded 5100s for Toyota, just with less height adjustment . they will ride the same as 5100s because they are the same .

Did you have the rumble strip vibration also before? I am thinking of adding shims as I get a slow rumble strip vibration at like 40mph.
