Alignment came back perfect with the stock UCAs and 1.5” lift. 0 toe and camber with just under 3 for caster. Middle clip driver/bottom clip passenger leveled the truck for 22” hub to center front and 23” for the rear. I used the Icon AAL instead of the 1” block for the rear.

I was able to buy just the shocks and struts for $300 shipped, which was less expensive than the regular bilstein 5100. Plus the 5100s were out of stock! Very happy with the planted and smooth ride. No more jittery feeling around corners or brake dive. Solid set up for $500 and no dash lights with the stock sensor/grill.

Looks great! And those are awesome alignment numbers with stock UCA's and your 1.5" lift!

I have the full 2" lift front/rear with stock UCAs and 285's and got 0 toe/camber and ~1* caster (very low)

Just go ahead and put the two you get on. You could be a trend setter for a new kind of stance!

Seems to very slightly from dealer to dealer. But you'll be looking in the neighborhood of $2500 out the door.

rock one in each corner to balance it out.

with your 1.5" did you use the middle perch or the top?
I thought the top was for 2" and I was planning on using the middle perch when my shocks come in I only wanted about 1-1.5" up front

I used the middle notch on the drivers side and the bottom (least amount of preload) on the passenger side. My truck had 1/2” lean on the drivers side and “one notch more” on that side leveled the front side to side. It also evened out the rear lean to a 1/4” with a full tank of gas.

Dealer installed OEM TRD 2" Lift on my 2020 DCSB OR today. Got it back around 6:45 tonight. Definitely seemed higher in the front than I was anticipating. Then drove it out of the dealership and immediately noticed a bounce on the front. Drove it around the block and right back to dealer - everyone was gone already for the night. Left VM and txt. After some research it looks like they placed the spring perch on the front shocks upside down - sigh. Drove it home and taking it back tomorrow.

Question for those of you that know more than I - I noticed the UCA was hitting the spring and there were other non-normal sounds and vibrations around 60 MPH. What should I be concerned about damage wise and require they replace? Springs overly compressed, UTAs hitting springs and at very steep angle, bearings, seals, Circlip, shocks?

    Thanks!

Yep. Defininately upside down on the spring perch. I think it might b a good idea for anyone getting the lift installed at a dealer to print out the instructions yourself and give it to them beforehand. This shouldnt b happening.

I would have to say this kit is impossible to install without the instructions. You’ve got torque values for bolts, proper orientation of a bunch of parts, alignment specs that have to be manually entered, specific values programmed into tech stream, etc. Print out the instructions and take it back. God only knows what they screwed up...

I’m sitting from ground to center fender 39”. They did say it was the first one they have done so far - of course. Any other thoughts on what parts would be subject to undue strain and need replaced?

The rear has TRD shocks and Wheelers 3-leaf AAL plus 1/2” Headstrong block and tapered shim for about 2” of rear lift as well. I wanted to retain a little rake.

Also have Sumo springs but that doesn't affect the height. Just want less sag with weight to prevent the reverse rake.

I would make sure the cv boots and joints get checked and also the bearing in the transaxle where the drivers side axle slides into. Be a good idea to get something on paper with a description of the mishap even if everything checks ok for future reference

Awesome thanks Shades! The Dealership was actually quite impressive with the way they are taking care of me. Met with the two Service Advisors and a new Mechanic (guy who installed was not there today) and said they would go over everything and replace anything that was out of spec. I'm also going to request an extended warranty on it.

Most kits do not come with instructions, mine didn't.

Your dealer followed the IPB and mimiced the OR struts which have the perches upside down (I was using a public service manual from last year). I'm surprised and WORRIED that they were able to get it on like that. I could not line up the strut with it backwards (using the non-spring compressor method) for the same reason and one side of the spring compressor I used broke when I went to decompress the assembly because something just felt wrong. I ended up throwing the hat on because I knew the second was going to break and it kept me from Yeeting my strut.

Like seriously, I bench 235 and curl 65 on a triple dozen rep set daily. Installing those with the hat backwards (ignoring the face that the spring would not seat correctly) required such wrenching that I pulled a muscle in my wrist. Whatever mechanic has nothing but retard strength and desperation going for them. I would just for good measure DEMAND that they install all new springs hats, and bump stops just because it's their fuck up.

Also I would not drive it any further. I noticed the spring had maybe half of it on the perch on most of the surface. It can run the risk of slipping off.

Actually now that I think of it. I would be not only demanding they install all new components but refund you the full labor fee because a certified Toyota Mechanic and Dealership not only have some mechanical skill to know that something ain't right, Toyota should be providing them with the proper information and they should know where to find such information to do a proper install the first time.

    Pic related.
