why would they put a IRS on it...here we all are complaining about how we want a SAS for the front suspension and now they take away the SA in the rear?

Independent suspension is here to stay. I hated this for a really really long time but honestly you must admit that its here for good reason, the ride is night and day better than the solid axle, i don't know about the rear i don't think it would have the load carrying ability of the leaf springs.

My favorite part about this truck is if they made it I could get a 100,000 mile extended warranty. I could make that pay for itself over and over again. I would love to see the look on there face when i towed that thing back in, look at them and say idk it just stopped running and the front tire fell off.

H1 Hummers are independent rear suspensions. Doesn't seem like they have a problem going anywhere. Just cause it is IRS doesn't mean it's not capable.

They should ditch the gold paint and rhino line that part of the truck.

Solo Motorsports built that exact thing a while back. Look like Toyota liked the idea and used it for SEMA

I never said it wasn't capable, it just doesn't seem to be a true long travel truck to me. and like someone else pointed out, it might mess with the payload/towing capacities

    This is kind of true
1.I have see the H1 break a rear axle seriously bound under a rock and it popped.
    2. H1 are designed for high speed runs across terrain.
    3. They are independent suspension but not anywhere near long travel, they also have a portal box attached to each wheel This is very costly (this can be seen on the Unimog but on a solid axle.) and what gives them there amazing amount of ground clearance. This also takes 1/2 of the Torque off the half shafts and makes it much more reliable.

No thanks i want it to run long enough for me to get around to abusing it, not break down on the way to the trail. :)

do Yall think they would really warranty these things? It screams abuse me. I love it.

I've been droolin over that concept for almost 2yrs. I was really hoping to see it in person at sema when I went last year but it wasn't there. Hopefully, some of the suspension advances will make it to the 2012 taco:cool:

Opps I missed it. Thats one sweet set up. The TRD one looks almost as if Solo built those arms.

Very sweet looking...I would love to test drive it for a year or two...It would turn a lot of heads even if the colors suck....
