I have the problem that was reported in earlier threads. I can see my TPMS info and when I customize I have Warning, Unit conversion, Display. Clicking on them, it looks like its going to take me somewhere saying "please wait" but nothing ever happens.

:EDIT: I also had v7.20.037 that came on another CD with it. My code doesnt work with it, but I chose Eval. Same problem though, I get in and customize shows those three but I cant do anything.

 

I believe the only thing you can do with the TPMS is register new transmitters.

 

Yeah. I expected to be able to Customize and be able to disable the Driver and Passenger warning chime. It doesnt present me with those options. Perhaps because of 2013?

 

The year might have something to do with it.
I thought I remembered someone had trouble with the 2012.

 

The seller just got back to me and gave me a link to download v8. It's about 20% downloaded. I'll give this a try tomorrow and see if its any different.

 

Evaluation mode doesn't allow changes. It didn't for me anyway. You have to register the software as I posted earlier in the thread. From what I understand the newest version (V 8 ?)also doesn't allow you to turn off the seat belt chime ( reported in a thread by a Toyota Tech in here somewhere ).

I have version 7.10.030 and it works just fine on my 2012.

I did screw up my registration the first time I tried it and had to uninstall the software, clean my registry with "CCleaner" then reinstall and register as I listed below.

Before you run the software copy the " getpeculiarid.dll " file from the Easyway ... folder into the C:\Program Files\Toyota Diagnostics\Techstream\bin folder over writing the original file.

Then start the software and use one of the included keys listed in the text file to register.

I ended up getting past and registering, but still couldnt disable that on my 2013. I have yet to try the v8, it's downloaded, but not tried.

I wonder if 7.10.030 would let me disable on a 2013, or if someone has tried that and there is just no way for me to do it on a 2013 on my own [yet].

 

got program to accept key, but new problem.
When connecting to vehicle, i get a connection error, S30205, Error, unable to connect to VIM. Checked cable LED is on when connected to PC, tried running truck off, accessor and On and running positions...... ???

 

Sounds like it might be a driver problem for the cable...

You did install the drivers? Are you running 32bit XP? I think the drivers are what dictates 32bit XP. There aren't drivers for 64bit or newer OSes.

What does the computer do when you attach the cable to the usb port? does it acknowledge MiniVCI being connected?

 

In the app under the top setup bar there is a Select VIM. You may have multiple choices. Try the other.

Mine requires switching to the other

 

In VIM select there is TIS Techstream VIM, and J2534 - Mangoose Pro
Guess next time ill have to see if that works.

I have tried many different releases Techstream and while I can see that my Warning for driver and passenger is on, I try to customize it and it just wont let me. I really wonder if it is a 2013 tacoma thing.

 

My 2013 Off Road won't let me customize much. I've tried Ver 7.10.030 and Ver 7.2.037 and the VCX, J2534 mangoose pro and 2 MVCI drivers. The VMI dropdown in Techstream seems to only connect with whatever the last driver I install was.

I bought it to do keys and manage my TPMS sensors, so now I'm just chasing the the remote/both doors rainbow.I'm running the MINI-VCI J2534 cable that originally came with the VCX driver, 7.2.xxx and the TISKEY hack.

Only Warning,Display and Unit conversion show in the customize screen. I can turn on and off both seat belt warnings in the program, but that's it. If I sign in as a 2013 4-Runner I get a bunch of options, but the ECU won't take the requests if I try to open the parameters. I saw a link, maybe on the TundraTalk link that said some one was able to pick up more customise options when they updated the driver, but I've had no luck, although I doubt I've tried all the combinations yet.

Any one had any luck with a particular driver? I think the cable may be pretty generic. The vendor of course says the only software they had was on the disk.

 

New v8 Techstream and I can finally customize seat chimes on my 2013, but that seems about it... so far. Didnt see any thing else that had Customization options.

 

im gona have to reinstall the program, its acting funny

 

Anyone have the key 8.00.034 ? I have tried several times and cannot get past the key screen.

 

I got v8.1 running and can connect to my 2010 trd but none of the ecu's are responding anyone else get that?
