Not sure if you’re open to going the used route but if you are that’s another option. I’d like to swap my OEM TRD off-road rims for the Pro rims but don’t want to pay the premium price. Looks like you can get used take offs from some companies online since not everyone wants the factory look. I found these guys offering used pro rims for less than half the price of new ones.

There is more than one source for OEM wheels. Use your favorite internet search. I bought a set of used TRD Pro wheels from a member here.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Ask if you can have a picture from one of the many "is it totaled" threads with a pro and send that over asking "how you like them apples? Can I have my wheels?".

The only time I had a dealer question me was buying a Kia part what was exactly the same as Hyundai part. I told them I accept all responsibility if it doesn't fit and they told me they won't warranty it then ended up sending me the part. They released themselves of liability, didn't care what I did with it and made clear I couldn't return it.

It’s certainly an inconvenience, but I have to look at it from Toyota’s view too.
Let’s say someone buys a TRD Pro and for some reason damages a wheel
(Even worse if it wasn’t their fault. Like says, the dealership did it.)
What’s the person that owns the truck going to do?
Buy 4 different wheels? Or make payments on a truck they can’t drive?

My guess is with parts allocation being nearly nonexistent, the dealership/Toyota isn’t going to want to explain why they can’t get parts. And to be honest, they probably don’t even know why. Until the parts supply gets back to normal, I suspect this will be common practice for awhile.

So what would I do? I’d do like everyone else said, and keep trying different places.
If that doesn’t work, maybe offer to buy someone’s wheels. I’m not sentimental, and looks don’t mean a lot to me. I’d probably sell my wheels if the offer was fair:confused:

    A bunch..and no build thread!
I have Pro wheels on my Off Road. Bought them new from a dealer on eBay..no issues at all. Asked for a VIN and I declined. Sale went through.

I know it's not what you want, but are there any replica wheels that match? Most of the replicas are pretty close, most are hub centric and some can even accept the original TRD center cap.

I was a Ford tech for a while and I've seen this once where Ford wouldn't send the part to a dealer unless it was attached to a warranty ticket. My understanding was that there was a shortage of this part and the part manufacturer was slow to make more, since this part was often needed under warranty Ford decided they only wanted to use their remaining stock to fix warranty vehicles so they wouldn't have to pay for rental vehicles indefinatly.

Not saying this is why toyota doing this with the rims but its a possibility.

I've had a similar experience at a local Ford dealership. Same thing they told me after the were done arguing with me.
