Me too, I really enjoyed watching them take "The Yeti" on offroad trips. Sad day for the Toyota community for sure.

Sad day indeed. What I don't understand is how. With their years off off road experience I wonder what happened to cause the crash. I know Many YT'ers and folks on here take their rigs on some very sketchy shelf roads and crazy grades so the danger is always there I suppose. One careless moment.

    SAR team called for help
Mark Jennings-Bates, a manager with Kaslo SAR, said rescuers were called to an offroad motor vehicle incident around 6:30 p.m. local time on Aug. 7.

"So it was on a forestry road, somewhere in the mountains, and quite a long ways north in the valley up towards ... the village of Trout Lake," he said in an interview with CBC News.

When rescuers got to the scene, Jennings-Bates said one of the people was found in the vehicle, with no vital signs. The second person was found away from the crash site, "disoriented and suffering from serious injuries." She was stabilized and taken to hospital but "sadly passed away later that evening."

Jennings-Bates said he didn't know if the couple was filming at the time of the accident, nor did he know the exact cause of the accident, but said it is suspected to have been caused by a loss of control on rough terrain.

He said the vehicle had fallen approximately 200 metres down a rockfield and would have rolled "many, many times" before coming to the bottom.

"They were so young and full of life, so talented, and this is a huge loss for our offroad community, their friends and family and the world," reads a from The Story Till Now channel on social media.

Damn. I've watched some of their build videos. This is heartbreaking.
