How would one go about fixing the front bumper? i know the rear needs a bracket relocate, but i see that tiny gap in the front bumper, but i only noticed it because i read your comment before i got it done lol.

U wouldneed to build a bracket like the reverse of a drop bracket. Similar to lowering the radiator

My only complaint on the ToyTec BL is I think there should be a longer steering coupler included! Mine is past the safety notches & I had to use a nut & bolt set up to get it to work!

been on a 1" BL for like 3 years. I've run all kinds of trails from easy Sunday drives to go check out a new fishing or shooting spot to Rubicon. never had a problem with it. I got the BL for two reasons.
    1. the bumpers I scored off a part out were made to accommodate a 1" BL
    2. I want to run dual cases and having that little bit extra room will be nice when the time comes

this did not save my fenders from trimming with 35s.

I just put mine on today . I've had one inch BL on my Wranglers for years . Many benefits of having it on a Wranglers. On the Tacoma I don't care if it's just for looks, if its safe go for it. I think with the right size tires it compliments a 3" coil over set up nicely. I guess for those who don't like spacers they don't care for bracket lifts either , just another form of spacers? Not real fond of the intermediate shaft connection after installation but have not heard of it being an issue so I guess its good to go . Some day when I have enough posts I will add so pics. Don't pay attention to the hear sayers advice, experience adds credibility.

If I have a cali raised Flush LED Bar Mounts (Light Bar Lower Bumper) will it still fit? I'm thinking no because the mounts bolt to the crash bar and the crash bar isn't moving with this kit.

Anyone fix the front and rear bumper gaps with modification? Keep reading about it be haven't seen any details on doing so.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...
The biggest complain I have about the 1" BL kit from @Toytec Lifts is the lack of a longer steering column spline and a better way to extend the fuel hose.
Besides the spacer for fuel hose bracket. What did y'all do to improve the fuel hose length? My fuel cap is tight against the rubber grommet.

Edit: And the radiator mount extenders. those are just weird. Does anyone have better pics on the radiator mounting. the ones in the instructions suck donkey balls!

Did you need to loosen the coupling on the steering linkage to allow for extension when you installed your body lift? Looking into 34s in he next year and a body lift looks like a good compliment to my 3" suspension lift.

Yes you have to loosen the coupling a little bit. Have had the 1" body lift for a while and no issues on road or off.

Do you loosen the coupling and retighten after both sides have the spacers installed? Also does the fuel neck get lengthened?
That's awesome to hear the kit has been holding up in real life use. Some of these threads are taken over by very simple minded people on this site.

Yes, you loosen it and once the body lift is installed then just re-tighten it. It allows you to extend the steering by an inch or so to match the body lift. If you don't loosen it, you won't be able to move the body up to install the lift.
No fuel line/neck doesn't get lengthened. Fuel line is long enough to accommodate 1'' lift. You just install the spacer under the neck section to bring it back as close as possible to its original position. I added additional small washer to bring it even little higher.

Like I say, there are lots of parrots here. They just repeat what they read online and have no personal/real life experience with it. Having said that, I wouldn't do anything more than 1'' body lift because they you get in lots of other issues.

So there is enough rod left inside the coupling at stock length to allow for extension? Just making sure I don't have to weld in an extension. And similarly, it's my understanding that only manual transmissions need to extend the shifter rod and that automatics don't have the same type of linkage so it is not needed?

All the electronics/electrical/wiring have enough extension in them at the stock length and mounting?

Correct. I didn't had to extend the stearing rod or the shifter. I got automatic.
None of the wiring needed extending either. That's the beauty of 1" body lift. If you go more than one, then you will have to.

Yup. With 35's and auto trans, 5.29 was the only way to go.
Here is a great thread that will answer all of your questions. Lots of great info

shifter on my 5sp worked just fine but after a few months I bought a 3" extension on ebay. I loosened the coupling on the steering shaft and got it to move easily before jacking up the body . then when all body pucks were in I tightened it

Probably gonna do this. Having a steel front bumper is great and all but frame flex and bumper flex is real. Every time I articulate my bumper moves and breaks the snaps on my fenders. I like my fenders so this 1" body lift will go good with my 3" suspension lift. Also 33's are an amazing thing and I want them so this is step one.

Yes they do. I just put mine on tonight and was sure I put them on wrong, but I don't know any other way they would work without the fan hitting the shroud. Did you ever find an answer for this?

I slightly modified the included brackets. I'll post a pic later.
