I have a '96 Tacoma xtra cab that I would like to lift 3" in the front and 2" in the rear. I've already decided on getting the Eibach front coil lift springs, but I can't decide on a AAL or shackle in the rear. I had a friend tell me that I will gain travel with the shackles but sacrafise payload, is this true? I am also concerned with the AAL making the rear suspension too stiff. Any help on this would be great.

    Toyota's are awesome
I would highly recommend our full length AAL.
It's going to help in supporting the leaf pack and not hurt your ride.
A shackle has s tendency to wear out a stock leaf pack pretty quick.

I have Bilstein set at 2.5" upfront and need about 1-1.5" in my stock rear. Would the AAL http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=58720&category_id=122&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=72 level it off or skew my rear higher seeing it says it will lift it 2" higher??? I had thought of going with a 1" shackle but reading your comments makes me 2nd guess that.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I don't see a AAL making a stock leaf pack of a 96 too stiff your leafs should be replaced that's what i would do
