Hey guys. I have a 14 Tacoma, with the complete toytec/bilstein coil over lift kit. It's "pre-set to 3 inches" from them, but I'm running into issues, that toytec says arent actually issues.

Without going into much detail, the shocks are too short, too long of a sprin. Has been installed onto a short shock. Lots of down travel, only about an inch of up travel. Apparently that's normal.. News to me.

Anyhow, my fix is going to be, drop the spring perch down to the bottom, so I will bring the travel numbers a little more equal, and just add a bit of a spacer in place.

My issue today is that I'm unsure of how much spacer to add. If I drop the coil down one notch on the 5100 shock body, that's about .75" of space, between snap ring grooves. Can I just take that exact measurement, and add a spacer that's .75" (or whatever that measurement is) to the top plate of the coil over (not in between the spring and the top plate, but in between the coil over and the truck mount) and being the truck back to the height that it was, when these coil overs were new out of the box?

    Hope that made sense!

    Thanks!

Do you have the 2.5" lift coils or 1.6" lift coils? I am thinkng you have the 1.6 inch lift coils since they set the 5100s up on the first notch. A 1/4" top spacer is supposed to lift 1/2". The first notch on the 5100 lifts 0.84" inches. I am guessing you have a 1/4" spacer on the drivers side to help with the taco lean so if you replace that with the 1/2" spacer and move the 1/4" one to the passanger side you should be close to where it was sitting before moving the 5100s at the lowest setting.
