So today I decided to do a look over on my truck. Making sure everything was in place, everything tight and all. While laying underneath my truck I noticed my passenger rear shock was leaking. leaking enough to cover the whole passagener side axle. Driver side is fine and dry. I've had this lift kit installed for less than a month. Wondering if anyone else had this problem....

How old is the shock? If it's new, I'd contact toytec...

I've had mine since the beginning of this year and no issues. I was told that the style in your pic is an old style that they're phasing out. Maybe it sat on the shelf too long and the seal dried out...

one newer, one old. I didn't know if they were side specific so I called tech support since they were obviously different styles. They informed me that they changed the style. The old style has a black end (like in your pic) . The new style has two chrome ends.

Im pretty sure theyre not side specific well from what i saw cause both had the same part number on both shocks and it didnt indicate or specify "left" and "right" shock

You're right, they aren't side specific. In my case I had two that looked different and figured that since they were different, they must be side specific. That's why I called toytec support. They informed me that they are not side specific and looked different because one was an old style (black end) and the other was the new style (both ends are chrome).

For stuff like this just call Toytec and get it repaired or replaced under warranty.

Just got done talking to Justin Richards he's sending out another shock out to me. Appreciate it ! Hopefully this doesn't happen to me on the drivers side.
