    Whatever work for you by all means do it.

    But typically, its easier to perform on the truck, because the truck will hold the coil over for you, otherwise, you need someone or something to hold the coil over while you adjust it.

    But like I said, whatever works for ya. :)

    I have a work bench with a big vice on it but I found it much easier to do ON the truck.

    Isn't there a max height that Toytec recommends not being exceeded? Why is this?

    To be honest, the instructions are pretty bad for a novice. Even the shop I had install my Ultimate Lift Kit didn't find much value in the 2 pages with a total of 4 pictures.

    Love the kit BTW! :)

    On a 4x4 you wouldn't want to exceed 3" of lift because of the cv joints.

    Ditto on the nice kit! I love mine.

    Do you happen to know what stock height is? I bought my truck with a spacer lift on and am really not sure what amount of lift I have after swapping out the Toytec kit. Right now my front is about ~38.5'' from ground to center of fender flare and about 40.5'' in the rear. My CV Joints do not vibrate at all. I would like to level it out as much as possible.

    Also, does the kit settle over time enough to where you can adjust the height up again, or are there mechanical limitations to the coil over?

    :thumbsup:

    Stock height on my Ex-Cab 4WD is 34.75 in the front and 37 even in the rear.

    Take your measurements from the center of the wheel so that tire-size is irrelevant.

    Front Suspension: Bilstein 5100 shocks set to 0"/Toytec Adjustable Coilovers.

    Rear Suspension: TSB & Toytec AAL for TSB

    Tires: 285/75-16 Definity Dakota MT
    * Measurements taken from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender
    Front:
    Right = 22.75" / Left = 22.75"
    Rear:
    Right = 24.25" / Left = 24"

    General consensus on the Cv's is that the boot fins shouldn't touch each other. If they do the constant rubbing will wear them out fast.

    Measurements are from the floor to the center of the wheel well. 16" wheels with the Dunlop 245/75/16's. Rear TSB is done.

    The truck is getting 5100's and Eibach springs put on today, I'll get measurements and a picture up later today or tomorrow.
