    Hi,

I have been using a Toytec AAL in the rear of my Taco for about 5-6 years. I don't do any heavy hauling and sadly don't go on dirt roads that much either. I was surprised the other day when I did happen to be driving on a dirt road going over a few bumps and both of the AAL pieces snapped and fell off. Half of each of them including the center bolt area are still attached but now I am looking at having to replace both of them. As you can understand I am a little hesitant to go with Toytec again.

5 to 6 yrs on an AAL in the stock leaf pack is pretty damn good considering how crappy the stock leaf pack is. My guess is the AAL was doing too much work holding up the sagging factory leaf pack and finally gave up the fight.

Hello and thank you for choosing Toytec for your rear lift option.

Having a aal run on a stock saggy leaf pack for 5-6 years is a good life for it. I also notice you are from Canada? Are proper maintenance procedures?
I have noticed our northern family has had serious rust issues in the past.
I am sorry you are hesitate on choosing us again for your lift.

If you wouldn’t mind shooting me a pm and we can get this situated the best manner possible for you.

It's time for a nice OME Leaf Pack replacement. Toyec has those available too.

5-6 years on what was likely a worn out original leaf pack from 2007. That AAL definitely earned it's keep.

Springs are wear items, they don’t last forever. Especially band aid AALs in a weak, way past it’s prime OEM leaf pack.

ToyTec replying to this shows better service than I’d have given. Good for both of you!
