Saw this in person this AM..wait until you all see the lights, skids, bumpers, and sliders they have planned for it...I haven't seen them, yet but got a good idea on how they'll set it up.

Just like the tundras that look goofy stock, the new tacomas look much better lifted, its more proportional on 35s. That chrome grille though still needs to go, saw and sr grille and it looked best.

The TRD Sport styling with the TRD Offroad Crawl and Rear Locker options would be my ideal rig. I wonder if we can order it like that? Anyone want to chime in?

Would Toyota be upset if the grill was swapped out for the non chain link fence one?

I don't think Toyota gives a sh!t about what you do after you have dropped 30k+ on an assembled stack of steel.

I loved the Coopers on my Jeep. Pretty quiet compared to other OR tires. And they last!

That thing is built for Arizona. Up and down some rough, Rocky, Tacoma worthy country.

Hmmm. 2017 is looking more and more realistic after driving Tacomas for 25 years. I can't look away.

    Mod worthy for sure.

I really want to hate on the new truck, but the looks definitely draw me in. I'm not impressed with the motor on paper, but I'll due it the honor of at least driving it once I go look at my new truck. Those 35s have to just murder performance though.

I see trd off roads here all the time and wonder why. Just not needed even for off roading here. 80% of users only use 4wd in the snow. Some years we get dumped on. Once in a while we get a dry winter with maybe only 15 inches over 3 months. Not much Rickey terrain here, but lots of dirt, snow, ice, and hilly terrain.

4wd with a 3 inch lift should do 98% very well. For real off roading get that jeep rubicon and go anywhere.

But, it would be "cool" to say "I'll turn on the locker." I've driven the last 12 years with 2wd limited slip differential and not got stuck. But I've also walked to a few fishing spots in late fall and early spring. Not this year

    Yes sir
You're on a toyota tacoma forum, we don't like heeps I mean jeeps round these parts. Only true 4x4? I'd take a landcruiser over that any day...

I don't mind jeeps, hate the new ones with 4 doors... doesn't seem true to the jeep name. Definitely a fan of the 90's YJ's
