I better make up my mind on my grill soon . New Sport Smoked headlights ! Any suggestions anybody?.Headlights in top pic coming out ,they leak . Should I go black grill or Super White ?.

This one turned out pretty cool... it fought me with the fabrication of the mesh & plastic but I was able to pull it off
It will ship Monday with the others.

There’s been some additional vendor concerns recently (Pelfry) and below is cut from a PM with another member. I thought it important to share due to the current events.

I know @tcBob and the rest of the TW staff do their best to monitor these types of situations.

I’ve been watching that unfold. It’s very unfortunate but it’s also a scenario that I’ve seen happen a few times before in this industry.
I do not operate like any of the other vendors on Tacoma world. I do not take any funds until I am actually building the product for the members who request it.
Your grill is already sitting in a stack in my shop along with the others in the current batch.
Should something unexpected happen and I am no longer around (like if I got killed in a car accident) you’d be 100% refunded.
Yes, my wait time is long and my lead time to ship a batch varies from 4-6 weeks on average but I have never run into the sort of “jackpot” that these other vendors have.
I have a business model that works for my schedule and is as fair as it can be to the folks that purchase from me.
I truly hope that Pelfry doesn’t fuck over you and all of these other people. I’ve met both Tyler & Satin a few times and they seemed like good folks. But you never really know right?

I have never gone “dark” from TW. I’m on daily.
I only do business on here due to the simplicity - there is no “TOYWERX” website, just HomerTaco

You’ll notice that I also use “Me & I” and not “us & we” because it is all my product. There is no one else involved in the fabrication and assembly but me.

My wife will occasionally go to the post office to ship or pick up components for me but that’s the extent of assistance I receive.

I hope that reassures how you feel about our transaction - I know I’d be livid beyond words if I was out $5K.

I actually felt very incredibly safe purchasing from Homertaco for this reason. I knew once I paid that it was being built in progress, and there would be no long term wait if something ever happened or my order was lost.

Ordered mine end of 2014. Got it some time in 2015. Totally worth the wait! I still love mine and it gets lots of compliments. (Not the best pic but it’s all I have handy)

Anyway, my .02 on the whole tacomaworld vendor thing.... I'm new to the whole transactional aspect of TW but I can honestly say out of the two I went with (Craig and the guy doing my lights), I would prefer Craig's method vs the other. The guy doing my lights had me pay 1200 up front and its been almost 6 months with no product. He is busy and he has a list like Craig but he doesn't move his product as quickly as Craig does. If I had 2 trucks I'd buy another grill from Craig in a heartbeat...
