    Unexceptional
    Repurposing the overhead panel for switches and a CB would be awesome. I have zero use for the compass, temp and sunglasses panel. I have a solution for the maps lights, too, if they had to get eliminated. My CB is a Uniden 520, so it might not be a possible to fit but if it could that would be nice.

    I also have this radio. Its currently mounted in that little inlet in the center console. As it is now, its difficult to reach the buttons.

    I would definitely be interested in something that moved the whole unit to the top. But I do like my map lights and the compass/temp there. I would sacrifice my sunglasses holder though.

    This was an idea I had. Obviously it's fairly long and would have to somehow be bolted to the roof. I was thinking maybe it could secure into the existing dome light mounts.

    Those came up on my google search - I like the idea of having the CB mic chord retracted so it's not flopping around.
    I think the key to this is going to be coming up with a design that's versitile enough to allow for multiple applications.

    It would probably have to have some type of universal bracket within a little cubby hole to look neater. A smaller radio would just have to have some extra open space or maybe have a filler/cover piece of plastic.

    Too poor to list anything interesting.
    I know I'm looking at drilling into the one of the sunglasses holder to use for switches. I'd honestly be happy with just a replacement sunglasses part that could clip into the existing, but had a plate to insert OTRATTW switches. Nothing like holding a full CB, though.
