i had my summer tires installed without the TPM. I read some where you can not swap to alloys from steal any way
But the reason for this thread I still do not see any lights on my dash. I am riding without the TPM. Does it take some time for this to happen?

Does it do it everyday? And then go out? Maybe I am missing the light?

Too late, light came on today and I am sure the Toyota dealer reset something to make it visible. Lol
How ever, I just turned over 1500 miles and the truck is running great. It is holding first gear much longer and I do not see 4K rpms any more.
Maybe they did something to it on the recall, but no mention of it on the invoice

I’ve read some were able to turn the sensor upside down to make it fit to steel rims. But since tire shops only charge few $ for them, I’d just get replacements.

I just have them for my winter tires, which are mounted on the steel rims the truck came with. I don’t mind seeing a small yellow light and if it does start to bother me I will make a black dot to cover it, they also sell these dots just for this purpose, good luck to you

I have to hit a button now to get my normal screen. The button below the up and down control to view your mileage you are getting etc.
I guess I will have to do this every time I start the truck. I took care of the small yellow light on the cluster by putting a small piece of tape covering it, then I was surprised it comes up on the cluster where my speed limit is, thus Hitting that button to get back to normal screen. Maybe there is a way around this. This should be a option for the driver. No need to tell me my tires need air.

Take your four original sensors, build a pvc heavy duty can and put them in there and pressurize the heavy duty can to 29 psi and throw the can in the truck somewhere. Its got to be sealed well though or you'll be airing it up all the time.
Google this, "how to build a tpms canister".

My originals are mounted on my winter tires with the Steele’s. I did here of this practice and once I burn the skins down on the winter tires I will consider this. Thanks
