I have a 2019 SR and I replaced the steel wheels with factory alloys in 2019. They rotated my tpms sensors 180º and everything was ok. I just bought new tires and I didn't know I had to tell the store that the sensors were rotated and one broke when they took off the old tire. They just put in a new rubber valve stem. Should I buy a new tpms that was meant for the alloy wheel? Will 3 steel wheel sensors work with 1 alloy sensor? Or do I have to buy a steel sensor to keep them all the same?
    Thanks for any help.

Afaic they owe you a new tpms sensor and be able to program it into the ECU.

I had a tire shop break one of mine, alloy to alloy. Thing was bouncing around inside. I made them replace it and program it into the system. Shops can't be this ignorant to this. Tpms has been around for years now.

It was rotated outwards, so unless you knew, it was going to break. Technically it was installed incorrectly.

It needs one new rubber sensor and reprogram, I'd just clone the broken sensor and move on.

Maybe so. But when I bring it in and everything is working fine and then 10 Minutes after I leave, it's not working....o_O
Sometimes you need to question the answer.
