tpms in spare????

    his spare was probly flat. becasue he needed to use it. and wondering if it had a tpms sensor

    For you guys with 08's and earlier, take the spare down and flip it over. Leave the valve stem toward the back of the truck. Not so much of a PITA to add air to the spare. (it wouldn't be a bad idea for the new model guys to do the same, just check out the spare every now and then so your not screwed if you get a flat)

    Has anyone checked to see if Toyota would be willing to remove the sensor and reprogram the trucks that have them in the spare? I'm assuming it wouldn't be a safety issue for Toyota since they no longer put them on. The sensor in the spare is a pain in the ass!

    I have a dual foot fill chuck that i can get to the spare with! Also have a dual foot tire pressure guage! That makes an easy fix.

    yes u can, but be careful because they are easily damaged and will set off you dash light! they arent cheap either!!

    this is what i did took all of ten mins to do.i couldn't figure out why my light wouldn't go off.i was about to take it to the dealer and then it hit me check the spare.
