I have a 2014 Taco I just bought. It has steel wheels and I bought a set of TRD Pro's off a 2019. I understand the TPMS sensors can't be moved from the steel wheels to the TRD's. Is this correct? If not, what should I do? Which sensors should i buy and should they be rubber pop in or the bolt in? Was looking at Schrader brand.

I'm sure someone will correct this....

You need 315 Hz for communication, steel wheel set (different mount angles than for alloy wheels), either valve stem will work.

If off-road in harsh terrain, the bolt on valve stems maybe more robust.

Try to stick with the Denso brand.

Thanks man for your reply! I guess the reason the ones from my steel wheels won’t work in the TRD’s must be the sensor part inside the wheel must hit the inside wall.
