My TPMS light is on. The 2006 truck has no pressure monitoring system from the factory and the reset button has no wires to it.

I disconnected the battery with no change. I plugged in a OB2 reader hoping I could clear it from there but no luck.

Any ideas on what to try next?

I have no idea why your light would be on if you dont in fact have it. I can verify disabling the TPMS in a 2006 4wd DCSB by following steps 13 on in the link below. Ignore steps 1-12.

Just find the small while connector taped to a wire black mass of wires the far right behind the glove box. It’s this lone white clip on the right side. Jamb a wire where the blue wire is (position 4) and ground that wire on the nut right above.

...no cutting of wires and can be returned to factory in 2 minutes.

did you just buy this vehicle? 2006 started the TPMS as a standard feature. i assume someone has removed/disabled most of the TPMS components and sold the truck.

Well now I am douting myself! And feel quite silly.

I have had the truck for years and assumed it didn't have it. It was my father in laws, I am the second owner.

The reset button has wires to it, they were just tucked up and felt like a unused switch. Doh!

Blaming that one on too much turkey and red wine. Happy Thanksgiving Canada. Who would have guessed the tire pressure light meant low pressure in a tire

Check your spare tire for pressure if it doesnt reset.

As mentioned above, check the spare tire. as we move into colder temps, the "cold" pressure in the tire will lower. any tire that was near the lower spec limits, will start going pass that limit.

After checking and adjusting the main tires - if the light stays on after driving (consistently) for a fair amount of time, then the Spare tire is the first thing to look at. Secondly, your truck is old enough to actually have a sensor good bad. a tire shop can check that.

Does it flash then turn solid? If so you have a sensor problem. If it comes on solid immediately you have a pressure problem.
