    Looks like you can use Windows 8, if you update to the new firmware. See link in below text.

    I installed Windows 7 32-bit, as a virtual machine and used that to install the updated http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1920724 software (the one that comes with it is old). Very easy to update the TPMS ID's. I went the route of putting TPMS sensors into PVC pipe and pressurizing it. Works great so far. :D

    To remedy your TPMS light issues, from not having the sensors installed... This is a $6 fix in takes 5-10 min.

    Go to Harbor Freight and buy this wheel/tire:
    Haul-Master - 10 in. Pneumatic Tire with White Hub - 30900 Deflate the tire

    Unbolt the (2) halves of the wheel

    Insert the TPMS sensors between tube and the tire's sidewall
    -make sure the sensor side (soft side) is against the tube
    -make sure the casing side (soft side) is against the tire

    Reassemble wheel
    -make sure the sensor isn't touching wheel

    Inflate to desired psi...
    -Place behind or under seat in vehicle

    TPMS light should go off within moments
    -no harm to sensors or vehicle

    I had to do this because I upgraded from my original 16" steel wheels to my 16" TRD FJ Trail Teams wheels... there are seperate TPMS sensors for OEM steel and OEW aluminum wheels. The sensors are attached to the wheel at different angle. Similar issues may arise with aftermarket wheels. This is a way to turn the TPMS light off.

    Folks,

    I am the new kid on the block. I would like some specifications information on stock alloy wheels for the 2015 Tacoma. I am looking into changing my stock wheels for some black allow without having to change the tires, which are the BFG Rugged Terrain T/A. Any advice?

    I'm in Hawaii so I have no snow tires issues. I did put on 20" Driv Growler's and just moved the TPMS Sensors to the new rims. 12,000 miles and no issues until a month ago when the light went on. Checked the tires and all was good so I'm still trying to figure out what the issue is. I started another thread specifically on TPMS issues.

    I have a ’12, so it only handles four TPMS sensors. I do a 5 tire rotation so one of the tires on the ground most of the time isn’t monitored. I’m wondering if one of the four sensors could be cloned and use the cloned sensor in the fifth tire. In other words, I’m trying to get my truck that only reads four TPMS sensors to monitor five tires. Are you (or anyone) who has a cloned set of tires siting near their truck having a problem with the truck reading two sets of the same number?

    So I'm getting ready to put some aftermarket wheels on my truck and im assuming the factory sensor won't swap over? Or will it? If not, anyone have a suggestion on a sensor to add to a aftermarket wheel? The wheel will be a Method NV.

    Sorry if this a stupid question after reading entire thread, can you use standard generic rubber valve stems in factory aluminum wheels. I plan to buy four factory aluminum wheels and use for dedicated snow tires. Im not interested in using the sensors or concerned about the the idiot light, I just want the stems and wheels to mantain pressure.

    I wouldn't bother with sensors. Just keep an eye on your tires like you have in past years.

    Assuming he kept the stock tire diameter, that still leaves a good 5.5" of sidewall, more than a lot of cars nowadays.

    True. When I see people with an Escalade with an inch of tire though. I'd be afraid to drive it.

    ^If you are going to evaluate an Escalade with logical thinking, you are going to have a bad time. The donk rims are the least of its problems. ;)

    Have a concern and then a question.

    With the Gubmit scanning us more often than these damn metrosexual tire pressure sensors check pressure, its good to NOT use certain words.

    I am changing my steelies for TRD alloys. Stealer Dealer just told me "You have to use new 40 degree sensors at $176 each". Screw that! I like the pressure pipe simulator approach. My question is for details on the "pressure simulator". Did you install all 4 TPMS in the pipe? Then just tie-wrap it under a seat?

    Second question, you or another may be able to answer. Is it possible to replace the TPMS valves with regular tire valves on the wheels?

    Hey guys, I have gone the route and bought a ATEQ Quickset. I also bought a set of used sensors, from Tacoma Alloy rims. When I setup the sensor ID's on my computer, the program says that the new ID's aren't compatible with my truck.

    Has anyone else had this problem? And does anyone know if there is a knowledge base/list of TPM ID's which are compatible with certain years of our trucks?

    Does anybody know if any the smartphone OBD II adaptors could make the necessary changes to the TPMS? $150-$200 seems like a lot of money to get a reader that just does one thing...

    Sorry I don't 'know', but it seems it would be unlikely. Most scan tools are just that. They can read outputs and erase the stored code field, but that's it. They don't have inputs to the ECU programming.

    I do hope I'm wrong, and someone shows up to tell us how it might be done........
