Hi all, long time lurker first time poster. Hope this is a good spot for this.

let me begin with yes I did a search.:D i just didnt find exactly what I was looking for. and now my dilema

truck : 07 TRD sport dbl cab.

I have a set of 285/75/16 bfg all terrains in 16" chrome wheels. I got the truck this way. ever since the dealership I got it from the TPMS light has been on. Its rather annoying. and frequently catches my eye to the point where I have to look at it. To make sure its nothing else. This is my first go round with a vehicle that has the monitoring system.

Now all tires are on 35 psi. and yes the spare as well, which is a full size spare, just not a BFG. I have not tried to reset it yet but will try if you guys deem it necessary. like I said it was this way when I got it. So I would hope someone along the way tried to reset it.

is there a way to check and see if the monitors are even there? Theres a bunch of aftermarket stuff on the truck, so it may very well have been long forgotten (if thats even a word lol). Also I will mention it blinks several times estimated 10 or so then stay solid for the duration of the drive.

I was reading some of you guys use different techniques to trick it. Thats all I would really need I avidly check the pressure anyways.

    Any recomandations would be appreciated.

Blinking, followed by a steady "on" indicates a bad TPMS. Try to reset it, but if that doesnt work, you may have to replace all of them, being as you wont know which is the bad one.

The dealership sold you the truck with the light on? If a re-set doesn't work I'd take it back in and demand they fix it since it's a safty related issue. Most dealerships won't even let you drive off their lot with the light on.

Tried to reset, thats a no go. Dealership doesnt have the tools to look at it but is sending it to toyota for me for diagnostics on it.

guess thats what a letter to dealership president gets you :)
