I recently got new wheels and tires with new TPMS sensors from tire rack, put them on my truck last weekend and no issues with the tire pressure light until this morning when it came on. Checked the pressure as it has been a little cold this week but no changes. Is it possible the truck took a week to realize there are new sensors on there? I haven't checked the spare so that could be it but I have never had any issues with the pressure in the spare.

If it were me, I'd check the spare FIRST...then make a post.

I have the same issue. Strangely, the light turns off when I pull in the driveway. I assume because my old tire and wheel set is in the garage with sensors still inflated.

Never had any issues with the spare, that's why I asked, but thanks for the input.

If the spare is low it will show up on my 07. Not all years will. Check it.

Did you program the ECU to recognize the new sensors or have the new sensors clone the old ones? If the answer is no to either of those, the ECU was probably reading the codes from the old wheels or you didn't drive far enough to turn the tpms light on. When I flip my winter wheels on, I can go about 10 miles before the light will go on. When I get back home the ECU will pick up the codes from the summer wheels and shut the light off.

I'm thinking this is the issue, I've definitely driven more than 10 miles but I have also been parking relatively close to the old wheels each day. Will be heading to a tire shop to get them programmed.

You should have the codes to the new sensors either on the paperwork that was sent with the tires or on stickers that are on the inside (part toward the calipers) of the rims. The tire shop will need those although some can "scan" the code off of the wheel wirelessly. I use the eBay copy of the Toyota TMS software on an old XP laptop to reprogram mine when I flip my wheels over. Still have to reprogram the ECU for this year's winter tire flip. If you can't find anyone to program them, and know the new codes, and want to take a ride to CT, then I can reprogram them for you. I know MA requires the system to work when you go for your yearly safety inspection.

Light was off this morning, I'm guessing because I was parked close to my old wheels that are in the garage, it's not a big deal, I will get the new sensors checked out when I have the time.
